Could be mistaken, but I thought I saw Kadie give Ostrander a stank face for tipping that last ball into the net. Ostrander's facial expression seemed to register it, too. Can't say I have a problem with that though, don't tip the opponent's set point into the net! I don't like it, considering Ostrander is hitting .324 right now, and Kadie makes PLENTY of bad mistakes! If we were really the better team that set, we would have won! Can't blame Ostrander. Nuh uh, no way. How dare you criticize the chosen one. She hits under .100 because of her setter, it has been stated over and over all year.

Wow! Quite a feat by Illinois to win any match against Nebraska, home or away. I have to admit, this does not seem like the usual powerhouse Nebraska squad we are used to seeing, but I wasn't convinced it was over until Illinois hit 25 points in Set 4.
Criswell was certainly the star, but I have to give special mention to Brandi Donnelly whose digging and passing was so strong, especially down the stretch.
Back home next week against Indiana and Purdue? Let's go get 'em!!

Nebraska was so lucky to get Robinson last year or this same scenario would have taken place a year earlier. She made the Huskers tick last year both on offense and defense. There is no where but up to go for this young team though so Husker fans hang in there!!!

Much to look forward to. Sent from my XT1080 using proboards

I still think she would have won a national championship if she would have chosen to transfer to Texas instead! She had a monster season at Nebraska, but kind of fitting that Texas eliminated them last year - almost showing what could have been.

Contrary to the theory every transfer, every top recruit made a mistake by NOT going to Texas (previous thread talked about Carlini would have been great IF she had gone to Texas), players do what they think is the best situation for them. Every team needs to win with the players they have and stop with the "if only."

I said the same thing last year when Texas beat Penn State about Prieto-Cerame. I used the wrong word choice in the first post, didn't mean to be cocky about it.

Thanks for that, then I can totally agree with you. Didn't remember TX was in the mix.

I agree she made the best decision for her. She definitely showed what she was fully capable of at Nebraska and had a great season along with a great opportunity to lead a very young team. However, I think she would have added a very needed solid L2 to an already final four team at Texas.

Illinois first win against Nebraska since joining the B1G. Illinois played well, main hitters seem to play more consistent through out the whole match compared to Nebraska's. Actually, they joined Big 10 in 2011, and the last Illini win against them was in tourney in 1992. Now, they had only played each other 8 times since '92, but Illini was 0-8 until today. Back to back top 15 win, and AWAY from Huff (PSU & Nebr). Quite a big win for them today.

Hannah Werth - (ex Husker player that's from Illinois) From Chatum, right outside of Springfield. Her brother is Jason Werth and in the majors.

Someone did say robinson was looking at transferring to hawaii. Her and hartong and the OH would of constituted the best OH combo in the nation
