After going from 24-21 to 24-26 in set 2, Purdue came within a whisker of two late set collapses in a row. In Set 3, the Illini saved three Purdue set points and gained a match point, but then brushed the net with an elbow during what would have been the match-winning stuff block.
We are in the middle rounds of a heavyweight boxing match.
