22-21 Oregon really tight here. Bettendorf/Scott staying in for right now, not sure if they're out of subs, going 5-1, or just getting past Ashen's Ro1
Gardner has 8 kills so far just in Set 2 (10 overall), pretty much the difference for this set.

23-21, Gardner long and then stuffed on consecutive points (from the right). Shebby's not that tall, but she's a solid blocker. Just needs to keep her emotions in check.

Two timeouts on two straight points and the announce crew has not mentioned which coach called either of the time-outs.
Can't they at least do the basics?

23-23. Gardner moved left, kills it... then Bailey stuffs Shebby.

Announcer just said, "It doesn't matter how you start a set...."
Which, of course, is utter bull-crap.
Third timeout without the announcers mentioning which team called it.

25-24 ASU. Gardner from the back. That's 10 kills for her this set, I think.

26-24 slide wide ASU takes Set 2.
Gardner just went off, and Oregon has 0 kills (and 3 errors) from the OPP2

4p start on a Friday afternoon...even in a town the size of Eugene...is a formula for guaranteed low attendance. People do have jobs and lives and kids and obligations. These schools are really pissing on their loyal fans, imo, by allowing a tv network to dicate these awful start times. If the match was at 7pm, the only people in the stands would be the Brenners and the Bettendorfs. Hilarious and mostly true because the Brenners might not be there because son, Doug, is on the football team. That leaves The Bettendorf's as the only guarantee.

The announcers are Chris Marlowe, probably the most experienced volleyball announcer in the history of the sport (and 1984 VB gold medalist), and Dain Blanton, another Olympic gold medalist and another very experienced TV guy. Maybe that horrible floor in Eugene is affecting their concentration.

ASU up 3-0 early in Set 3. Ducks need an energy jolt and unfortunately the crowd's not gonna be able to provide that today.

8-5 ASU. we'll see if Agost is actually match-ready because Naya could use a sub.
8-8 Brenner gets a kill, Nady aces
