Yep, I think you should always no matter what serve hard and tough no matter what the situation is and who you are playing and never ever let up.

Given how they played on Wednesday, this is not a surprise. TCU just doesn't have the horses to take advantage of the bad play by Texas. A better team would have easily won on Wednesday.
They just seemed all out of sorts. Very inconsistent play all the way around, and just one reliable passer, and teams know not to serve her. Lots to fix in a month, or it will be a quick exit in the tournament.

I have received video of Texas AD Steve Patterson after today's debacles in football and volleyball.

It's ok. Texas football is still worse than Texas vb.

I've thought that Texas was overrated all season. Coming into this match, the Longhorns had only played 15 matches. Most teams have played 19 or 20 matches by this point in the season. It was only a matter of time before Texas's lack of match play would catch up to them. I hope, for their sake, that Texas doesn't play such a light schedule next season.

Easy enough to say several hours after the loss is final.

This is some pretty shotty reasoning. Texas has only played 15 matches so far because the Big 12 has 9 teams in it, which means they have more competition dates available for non conference play. But the problem is that the other conferences are already playing conference schedules.

And yet this is your first post on VT. If I was cynical, I'd say this was your 1st post under this username! About the number of matches Texas plays. Texas plays in a 9 team volleyball conference. Losing the NIKE tournament had an impact on scheduling this season. And as Elliott stated last week, many top teams don't want to play in Gregory Gym because of the potential negative impact to their rpi. For example, he wanted to have a second tournaments at home, but couldn't line up a top team. This is a reason he's had to schedule the Chinese team for two exhibition matches on Monday and Tuesday. But thanks for your concern. I know it was rough for this to be your first post on VT!

Agreed on Texas' conference schedule being a big reason why they have fewer matches, but playing Texas @ Texas really is not a negative impact on overall RPI for other teams. Elliot is kidding himself on that point. Even a loss to Texas by a team would be offset by the great OPP record they would add. Also, the whole teams not wanting to go to Gregory gym isn't a valid reason either. I'm sure that volleyball matches don't have to be played in Austin . Not saying that Texas doesn't travel, because they do, just saying that Elliot using the excuse that other teams don't want to play in Gregory gym as an excuse as to why he scheduled the Chinese national team doesn't really hold up.

Oklahoma doesn't seem to have an aversion to Gregory.

I don't see what a 9-team conference has to do with it. All the other Big XII teams have more matches than Texas. And the Big West is a 9-team conference as well, and their teams have many more matches than Texas.
As for this being my first post: I just discovered this forum, what does that have to do with anything? But thanks for the warm welcome!

Heck of a coincidence that you have felt Texas was over-rated all year, but just happen to find VT the very night they get upset. Could you pick some lottery numbers for me?

Well, I was watching the re-airing of the Texas/OU match on ESPN3. I was surprised to see Paulina Prieto-Cerame playing for Texas as I had not heard that she left Penn State. So I looked online to get info on her transfer and was directed to a thread on this forum. That's how I found VT.
I'm sorry your team lost; you don't have to be so butt-hurt about it.
