Damn Ducks.
Stanford closes with 4 of next 6 matches at home...the Arizona schools AT Stanford next, then USC/UCLA in LA and back home with Colorado/Utah.
Which of those matches is the best opportunity for a Stanford loss? USC?
UW also has 4 of next 6 at home. Oregon/OSU next week; on the road to Colorado/Utah; then back home for UA/ASU.
Hate that trip to Colorado.
Then the big Stanford at UW match. I still think one or both of these teams could easily lose a match before the square-off.
But after the battle in Seattle, Stanford ends the season at Cal; UW at Pullman.

I was just going to look that up. I've been out conducting an alumni admissions interview this afternoon.

Utah, WSU, and Cal are really pushing the mode up pretty high. More teams are 7-5 than any other record, and 8 of the 12 teams are 0.500 or better -- even though two teams are sitting at 12-0!

Will Utah get into the tournament? That would make it 10 teams for the Pac-12. They need a few more wins if they want to avoid being a bubble team.

I think they need a few more wins in order to become a "bubble team." And they have to be wins over one of the LA schools or Washington.

I think they need a few more wins in order to become a "bubble team." Ha, good point. I was going off of the Pablo ranking. What is their RPI ranking? Will they finish with an overall record above .500? So the Pac-12 probably won't get in 10 teams.

volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/56010/rpi-futures-11-2Blue is projecting them at #59 in RPI. And that assumes they pick up three more wins along the way. So like I say, I think they need to beat UCLA, USC, Oregon, or Washington (all in Utah) or Stanford (on the road) to have a chance, and they better beat Colorado, OSU, and WSU too. Not too likely.
