For those who are interested, here is the interactive D2 tournament link: www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/volleyball-women/d2Quite a few mainstays hosting regionals… Tampa, Grand Valley, Wheeling - Will this be the year that we see a new team out of the Central Region?

When Tampa makes it out of their region they will have an easy walk into the finals!! This could be their year.

Tampa certainly has the tools… They're awfully tough when playing well. Haven't seen some of the other top teams, but Tampa has a pretty good chance this year

How about some love for the Northeast region teams.......just kidding. Tampa and Truman always have strong programs.

I just noticed that between round 3 and 4 is a long time; like 12 days. Has it always been this long between those two rounds? I know Thanksgiving is next week but that seems like too long of a break during the tournament.

Yes it is, DII I guess doesn't get the same treatment as DI so teams get a nice, long break for Thanksgiving

This year they have their fall festival where they host the championships for the fall sports at the same location. So the schedules are a bit different this year

Grand Valley shouldn't be hosting--Truman is the #1 seed, but a conflict on campus prevented that. Not sure why it didn't go to the #2 seed Ferris, but for whatever reason, back at Grand Valley which gives them an advantage. If the snow doesn't stop, many spectators might not make it.

Did Ferris put in a bid for it? I know there is a process... so that may explain it...

On my travels yesterday I flew into Boise with the Dixie state women's volleyball team on their way to first round match up against Northwest Nazarene. A delightful group of young women and wonderful representatives of their institution. Good luck !

Have you SEEN Ferris' volleyball gym? It is smaller than every high school gym I have been in this year - holds only a few hundred. No room to pursue a ball, etc.
