25-19, UAFS wins 3-1. Congratulations to the Lady Lions, who beat both the number 1 and number 2 seeds in the regional.

It will likely come down to Tampa or southwest, but Wingate could cause some waves. Finally a new champion will surface, that's all the is for sure

Hopefully BYUH will take it all That'd be great. Especially since they're dropping their program. What a way to go out.

What? No more BYU Hawaii? That's really sad if it's true.

Grand Valley, Tampa, SWMS… and now we wait for the winner of Ark Fort Smith and New Haven.
SWMS/Sonoma match was great. Both sides playing well at times and in the end SWMS had the momentum… they were down 8-1 in the third set and fought back to push a fourth set. Missed a lot of serves, but never got down or frustrated. And their blocking really improved in the last two sets.
Tampa cruised and GVSU cruised. Those are my picks for the finals on Saturday...

Midwest Region got little respect in National Poll all year long and by All American committee (GVSU has only an HM All American). IMHO, GVSU is showing that the GLIAC and GLVC play a pretty competitive brand of volleyball.

Is Ark-Fort Smith the lowest seed (7th in their region) to make semi's ever?

Midwest region was wide open…
Mckendree making the tournament as an 8 seed after taking Truman to the 5th set the weekend before. Both Ferris and GVSU had great years and quite a few strong teams with GLVC as well. Seemed like the region has improved and has been beating up on each other this year. Probably not quite to the level of the Central… but definitely improving!

Congrats SW Minnesota State for advancing to the semifinals! Northern Sun Conference is well represented. Yep; they are without a question the toughest conference in DII
