Gilbert is my MVP for the match. Cal will regroup and be much better next year although Higgins is a big loss to graduation.

Congrats to Stanford on their Pac 12 championship. Good luck in the tournament.

Higgins is a tough loss for Cal. But at least they will have Schonewise next year plus a top MB recruit in Rennie, who I think might be a little undersized in the Pac, but makes up for her athleticism.
I was wondering also about Ashten Gooden-Smith who came in to Cal as the #4 (or 5?) recruit of that very loaded class but was somehow a disappointment at the OH spot. Same can be said to Lauryn Gillis of USC who was also a highly touted recruit on that position. Seems like last year's top recruits for Pac12 have underwhelmed with the exception of Scambray (UW) and MaryKate Marshall (OSU).

I think Burgess got a kill off her shin. No, I guess not. Holly McPeak seemed to think so, too, at first. But on the replay, it looks like Burgess got her hands under the ball. Still, essentially an overpass kill.

Ahh, the old every-10-years championship tale about Stanford, so they're due. If I hear that story one more time, I'll ingest a cyanide capsule. Tom, do you know that Stanford has a tradition of winning championships in years ending in "4" ? That's right, every ten years. I really thought you should be reminded.

Two examples doesn't really make a 'tradition'. And, yes, Tom does know they won in 1994 and 2004. They have won more championships in years that don't end in '4'. Let the numerologists spin that.

Kill the man? Where will we get all those questionable polls?

Listen, I'm well aware of Stanford's VB tradition. I'm just exhausted with the announcers relying constantly on the same old irons: Stanford every 10 years, 94 & 04...and ohhhhhhh..its now 14; JMacs pens in his shirt; Wade is from Palo Alto; Strickland's dad let her play football if she didn't cry....fercripessake, talk about the damn match for a change and stop with the same chestnuts you've regurgitated 10,000 times.

Johnbar, you need to get a sense of humor. Or get out more. Something. Oh, sorry, I did misunderstand the tone of your earlier post. Try to be funnier next time.
