Has anyone heard any rumblings about the August intrasquad scrimmage? (Date, time, if it's even happening...) I believe it's set for Sunday, August 23rd. Thanks, JHAM!

Trying to keep the thread afloat until things heat up in a few weeks. ☺
Any bets on the All-B1G preseason picks for the Gophers? I'm thinking Paige is a good bet. Also, if Santana doesn't at least get honorable mention this time, I will be extremely disappointed. I think she will have a nice year.
Have captains already been picked for the 2015 season? Can't remember when they are announced. Would be cool to see Schau as one, I think.

I was SO impressed with Paige Tapp last season. Makes me wonder why she did not get more playing time during her freshman season. She reminds me a lot of Carly Wopat.

Roster pics are new as of today.
It looks like Carly Rasmussen has left the team. She seemed to have a kind, positive spirit even while on the bench. Probably would not be seeing a whole lot of playing time this season, realistically, with the great depth we have everywhere, but she was a nice teammate, I'm sure.

Yep, I've been saying that incorrectly in my head for the last six months.

We're what? 20 days away now? I'm pretty excited. You have to believe this team is hungry and ready to come back with a vengeance after last season. Paige and Daly are poised for huge seasons IMO, and I think players like SSS/Hannah/Lohman are ready to step up and become big impact players.

And, both are home matches. Which would be nice if I weren't already attending. Maybe these are the only matches MN is aware of being involved in. Perhaps they were notified in advance to allow for set up and there will be away matches televised. I could almost deal with the lack of Fri/Sat matches if it meant they would be on TV more often. But, they aren't. And, why have so many mid-week matches throughout the conference if you aren't going to televise them?

Watching the girls who played in China, I was awfully impressed by Lohman's play, as well as Hannah's. They were really looking like terminating, go-to players. Things are looking very promising for both of them. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I also hope Wilhite has a fantastic season. Hopefully SSS, assuming she takes the setting job, will "feed" her well and have her swinging hard and playing with some fervor. I think Sarah will have a better year overall. Such a nice all-arounder. And how about Rosado? I thought she looked excellent in the spring and made some spectacular saves. Even by the end of last fall, she was looking nice and composed and passing with some real consistency. If that keeps up, we will be hard to stop. Very pumped, even with the lack of televising.

I'm curious to see if the redshirt SR. transfer Toni Alugbue has the goods to break into the starting lineup.

I'm curious to see if the RS SR. transfer Toni Alugbue has the goods to break into the starting lineup. I've wondered if the coaches might decide to use her as the second OH, with Wilhite as an RS option. That would leave Goehner as a back row (albeit still attacking) DS for either Toni, if needed, or Hannah. This is all assuming that Toni is already almost Santana-good coming in. I sure hope she is, but I don't know.
