Anybody know who the #3 and #4 US setters are/would have been for the olympics?

Reading from Berg's article, it seems that the second setter battle in the summer was between Berg and Cepero.

Let's just hope that Berg is not the best that this country has to offer.....OR we are in real trouble.....she doesn't even look fit! Bad image for USA Women's VB, IMHO!

I guess she was fit enough to beat out Brittany and Greichely to make the Olympic team. Your opinions have long been suspect anyhow BM. The only "image" that ought to be important is how well she plays and Lindsey plays extremely well.

OMG, are we back to talking about Berg's body image? Let's just drop it. Whether she gets the job done is what's most important. Personally, I dont' think she's the setter for the futre but I don't think it has anything to do w/ her body. I just hope there's someone from the college ranks that can take over the starting spot (over Berg and Ah Moh). US could really use a world class setter. Maybe McGinnis or Tortorello (sp). Has the Penn State girl expressed any interest in playing in the Olympics?

The next setter for the USA team will depend if Toshi stays - Berg will have a shot.

Regardless of what she looks like,,,,,if Berg is the future of our setting situation, the US Women's National Team is in BIG TROUBLE!! Just like if Ms. Tom is anywhere to be found in the future of our program as well.....

Just like if Ms. Tom is anywhere to be found in the future of our program as well..... Beachman, I'm sorry to ask you this since you are the one arguing against Ms. Berg, but you are the only person who might be able to find out: if you have access to Mrs. Green-Vargas, I'm wondering what she thinks of Berg. Berg would seem to be just her type-tenatious as all hell, and a proven winner. Regardless of size or body shape... I may be wrong, but I'm guessing she might have quite a bit of respect for Berg. What is Mrs. Green-Vargas' critique of Berg as far as setting at that level?

Beachman you are seriously deranged in your thinking sometimes. The one player that held the team together for most tournaments and most of the olympics except for one, the last game, is what you need to build around. The one player that the US has that can play all the way around and be great you don't think shoudl be there. I guess they should be tall and not play defense and take 2 games to warm up and be inconsistant, that shoudl be what the US needs to load up on. Oh wait! That is what we all ready have.. Wait, weren't you bragging how many players came from LBSU? Wake up bud!

Wait, weren't you bragging how many players came from LBSU? Wake up bud! I assume that the player that you so covertly refer to is Ms. Logan......for one thing I know that you haven't talked to other players on the team about Logan's actions this summer.....hopefully some of you Stanford fans will have a chance to "inquire" of Ogonna what her thoughts are on Logan and her smoking and drinking.....my sources have indicated that their relationship(what is left of it) is somewhat strained after the manner in which Logan acted in Athens....there's plenty more, but I'll just stop here......I saw her play, a lot, and she runs pretty hot and cold folks.....I, for one, would like to see her leave the program.....we would be better without her disruptive behavior and attitude!
