B1G Preseason Wisconsin is at 4th Seems fair given how much firepower we lost, and how many new faces we have, plus how much the rest of the conference loaded up (Foecke, Poulter, etc.). Realistically, I think any of the top 4 could win the conference. Sometimes it just comes down to who's having a better night.

I'm into it.
Doesn't B10 have pre-season player of the year?

15 DAYS UNTIL THE SEASON STARTS!
15 losses was the fewest losses during the years 2008-12. (Lowest ever was 23, in 1984).
2 All Americans have worn #15: Amy Lee and Morgan Shields.

I know the easy answer, "Carlini", but what makes Wisconsin better than Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan State, Purdue, Michigan, and Ohio State? Is this a Magic Johnson type of effect? When looking at complete rosters, is there that much difference? I'd say same thing about Nebraska - who doesn't have Carlini. Maybe Kadie R is somewhat of a Larry Bird effect... I think 2-9 can be bundled based on roster strength.

We'll be there Monday, so I can give you a report.
To lineup: I think consensus is something along the lines of Bates and Gillis on the left, Williams & Nelson in the middle, Kriskova on the right with A-Mac DSing, LC running the offense, and Morey digging half the court as libero. But we've also heard about what a good spring season Blake had, and how hard Duello's working to crack the lineup, so we'll see.

Thx. It's v different from last years lineup. Do u think it will be better or worse than last year? How good is the usc transfer? Is she as good as last years' oh? And the right side, she wasn't a starter. Is she as good as Thomas offensively. I know the ball control lost from Thomas is hard to replaced. And the new Middle. Freshman? Sorry so many question. But I don't know the probable new starters at all

Honestly I think the great thing about this year for Wisconsin is the amount of talent on the roster. It is so unpredictable. No one's spot is safe, and it should make for some great competition and great improvements throughout the season.

Just a hunch though.

I think 2-9 can be bundled based on roster strength. You might have said the same thing last year re Wisconsin too, when they won the B1G. And the year before that when they reached the NC match. Taking that as a starting point, on reputation at least, the incoming players should provide a boost eventually. But there will be some adjusting to all the new faces. We'll see. Same could be said for Nebraska. Last year they were clearly the fourth best, and they have added an excellent player in Foecke and, they will argue, will see an upgrade in setting that will let them run a more balanced more efficient attack. I'm not sure the badgers are thought to be better than Illinois going into the season -- they're ranked behind them in preseason by the coaches. I think the gap from the top four and the rest of the conference may have increased with Illinois possibly improving as well - even with the loss of McMahon and Criswell. The badgers are the big question mark of the top four because of the turnover. But the Carlini effect is real. So is the Sheffield effect. He gets his teams ready.

Carlini and Sheffield won't let this team lose. Sheffield imo, behind Russ, is the BEST coach in the game. Bar none. Better than shoji imo. Will wiscoson be as good as last year? Probably not. But they'll be a definitive top team and Can push for top 3 in conference. I expect them to have a great year. Now when carlini leaves, who knows what will happen, but her being on the team changed wiscosnin for the better. Recruiting has been OUTSTANDING, and they're set to be a top team for a long long time.
