that fact has been mentioned about 100 times on this thread. Ground well covered. True, so why did you ask "what is there to mend"?? Especially if you agree it doesn't look good when so many transfer. Then I guess how about "mend that" perception. Seems pretty obvious. how do you mend "perceptions"? People will always think what they want, and you can't change that.

Houston, I think we have a problem. We think we have an irresistible force meeting an unmovable object.

Agree, It seems like the Huskers usually have a DS transfer plus maybe another player almost every year. And the reason is usually for those players to end up in a better 'playing' situation for themselves. I remember when Lara Dykstra (starting L) and Alexa Strange (utility/back-up S) both left after the 2012 school year to pursue their sand careers, and no big deal was made of it on the board. * And I really don't think it hurts your transfer 'resume' when your coming from the Nebraska Women's Volleyball Program.

According to friends in NB, the fact that they've had 11 transfers in the last 3-4 years is more the story (regardless of who initiates the transfer).

Wow, that makes it seem like a revolving door.

How many of these 11 transfers were starters or had the potential to start with the cast of players in the gym? If we were losing impact players like Ebony, Lauryn, Falyn, Briana or Kelsey, I'd petition for John Cook's resignation, but that's not the case here.

I count 8 transfers in the last 3 seasons. None were what you'd call "cornerstone players". Dykstra was the lone regular starter who left and she was replaced by Justine, who likely will be a four-year starter.

Am I missing anyone?

Simpson (All-American, All Pac-12) Pendergast (started, then Played at A & M) Setter - Who came to California I know you were just filling out the list, but anyone that would say anything in Simpson's case (needed about 5 schools before getting it right) or Pendergast (parent had cancer) would be silly. It's a lot of transfers but not one has left acrimoniously. Most were just looking for more playing time. Of course, detractors won't acknowledge that since it doesn't fit their fabricated narrative which is meant to cast aspersion.

Simpson and Pendergast were over 3 years ago and Simpson essentially set a world record for programs played at.
The setter you reference is probably Strange, who along with Dykstra, played sand.
Simpson is the only player who left who ended up what I'd consider a top-notch player and she played in 3 time zones before she put it together.

Simpson (All-American, All Pac-12) Pendergast (started, then Played at A & M) Setter - Who came to California Pendergast (who wasn't a starter) still comes back to Lincoln to visit. She loves the program, players and coaches, but she knew she wasn't going to start over Dykstra. Simpson's transfers say less about Nebraska than they do about her desire to play at as many schools as possible. If she would have stayed at Nebraska, she wouldn't have seen the court until her senior year.

Penn State (to date) has lost none of its 2014 recruiting class (#1 ranked class) and not all them play. That's what impresses me about Penn State's program.
