Nebraska freshman and new team shoe? Is black the new yellow? Oh, I hope so. Wisconsin is also an Adidas school, and last year's shoes made my eyes bleed. Yeah; the bright colored shoes clash so bad! GO HUSKERS

Cook: Mikaela Foecke will begin practice at right-side hitter, Amber Rolfzen at middle blocker.

Cook: Mikaela Foecke will begin practice at right-side hitter, Amber Rolfzen at middle blocker. Potentially a great move. Foecke should be able to terminate with better efficiency on the right than Amber did, and Amber can bring her defensive prowess to the middle since she probably has better range than the Huskers' other middles, the Huskers become much stronger across the front court. Foecke will need to show that she's not a major drop off in defending the opposing OH. Amber was excellent in that regard. If this works, it'll mean Stivrins will redshirt in '16 because Amber will be a senior and Holman will be added to the mix at middle.

Probably not I'd assume she'll be subbed in backcourt. The Huskers will need a way to use all their high quality passers anyway. With Wong-Orantes, Albrecht, Maloney, and Townsend, they have no shortage of talent back there.

That spot will be vulnerable for them in 16'

Don't think either will beat out Amber. Holman's been working the past few weeks with Amber on the side. Really pushing her to excel there.

If I heard correctly he said that he thinks Foecke could be 6 rotations? But then he says that there are exceptional back row players so I wonder what will happen

really? who are the Left OH's in 16 going to be then? Besides Kadie Rolfzen, options on the current roster would appear to be Annika Albrecht, Olivia Boender and Tiani Reeves. I wonder if they're done recruiting for the 2016 class?
