Didn't see a thread for this match. Hoping BYU passes well so sets can be evenly distributed like they were against Nebraska. I haven't seen Texas, but I assume the BYU block will give them problems. Alexa Gray needs 15+ kills-it can't all come from Hamson. BYU in 4!!!!!!!
GOOOOOOOOO COUGARS!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: kinda messed up the poll, but you get the idea.

I'm really hoping that we don't end up with a Hamson-Neal matchup. Hopefully either Bell comes over and Neal blocks the right or its Eckerman up against her (which I don't want either)

Nothing against Texas, but I am pulling for BYU. I couldn't believe the way they handled Nebraska. Very cool and confidant. It would be sooo cool to have someone other that Texas, Penn State or Stanford win this thing!
Could it be the year of the underdog???

I agree, if Alexa and Hamson and BYU middles are firing all over the place, Texas will have a very dangerous team on their hands, and with BYU being the number 1 blocking team in the country, well, we shall see how the Longhorns handle it. On the flip side of this match, if Texas is firing on a cylinders then BYU will have a huge and dangerous team on their hands, plus Texas is a very strong blocking team, the way to beat Texas is forcing them out of system. Of course I would love to say " Texas in 4" but honestly, this one is anybody's, BYU squashed Nebraska, Texas squeaked by UNC. I love my horns, hope they pull it off!

Collins said in her interview that Texas is going to attack through their middles. I hope Dalton got that message.
I also think that Texas will be aggressive and attack Hamson when she is backrow.
Texas in 4.

I think Texas will win, but I'll give you a "Go Cougs!" anyway.
I'll be watching a play about LBJ tonight. There's a Texas connection, I guess.

Hope the gameplan can be executed, and be successful. If halftime adjustments are needed, I sure hope they are made.

Texas in 4. Hamson surprised me with her back court defense. I don't think she can run down a ball too well, but it's tough to get a tip down.

Texas in 4. No crap!! I agree, Cole, TAKE NOTICE please! Texas will need to play an almost perfect match to get the W, in my opinion. Plus BYU hasn't been in this environment, Texas has. I hope they feed off that! HOOK EM! Will be arriving Saturday morning!

. I like Chiaka's style of play, and it'll be fun to watch her go up against BYU's middles, who are one and two in the country for blocking.

byu has the personnel to match up very well against texas' physicality at the net. hoping for a good match, and some battles at the net. byu has some tough serving that can force texas to go to the outside to face a formidable byu block. but even when unc was putting a 3-man block on eckerman, it didn't stop her much.
just as interesting is the matchups in the middle -- as both teams have great tandems.
texas is fun to watch, but i think it'd be cool to see unseeded byu break through to the final.

Poor texas, they have to face the number 1 and 2 blocking teams (last time I checked) in back to back rounds. Not that they can't overcome it though.
