After this, I'm predicting Eczacibasi playing Krasnodar at the Club WCH final. What do you think?

They've played against each other so many times for their respective national and club teams, and they're normally lined up against each other in the rotations. Oh yeah, that's right. They should both be playing here next year, in the Superliga, though! =) TBH I'm not a big fan of the Superliga after they implemented rules that limited how many star players can be on each team. This season, I enjoyed the Turkish league the most for their dream teams.

It would be nice for a player like Kelly Murphy to get picked up. She could do well and wouldn't cost as much as the players mentioned... I'm not sure Murphy would be a great choice for their less-than-elite setting and bouts of out-of-system play and certainly wouldn't be worth it for the domestic league (you don't want to send Larson, DLC or Poljak to the bench). Honestly, the best move would be to pick up Gozde as a receiving opp and move De La Cruz out of passing. They can probably also replace what they're getting out of an on-the-decline Furst for quite a bit less A new setter would be ideal but that would be tough for the domestic league and there aren't really Turkish options besides Naz, and she ain't cheap. Furst just had a bad showing in the semifinals. Most of the balls that Nilay and Asuman threw her way were either all over the place or poorly timed. Blocking-wise, I admit she was abnormally slow at closing at the pins this weekend. Perhaps she just needs some rest, and she can take a long summer holiday since she's no longer on the German NT. IMO Furst is still an elite blocker, but if Ecza were to bring in a less expensive foreign player, I'd like to see what Dixon could do for the Tigers. Or, they could go all out and bring Thaisa or Foluke to Istanbul.

It's kind of ironic to see Jordan and Becky Perry in the finals against each other again... (Regional Finals) Amazing to see how much better Jordan is these days. She has always been a pretty good passer and defender, but I never would have guessed she would become such a dominant point scorer and blocker.

Also noteworthy is the news that broke this weekend which revealed that Fabiana is in talks with Fener, but nothing will be determined until her season with Sesi ends. Hopefully Galatasaray will put together a dream team to rival Ecza, Fener and Vakif to bring more top talent to the league!

Is there a replay of the final available? Yep! Go to the first page to the first post, and the links to each replay are available in addition to each match's stats.

My first thought was Chirichella because of her size, but Dixon would be a good choice, along with Ruseva, Heyrman, Stevanovic - very talented and all young/on the rise enough they can play above their asking price.

The FIVB Club World Championship, the Superbowl of international club volleyball, is set to begin on May 6-10. Volero Zurich hosts for the third year in a row and gets an automatic bid into the tourney.
Here's the composition of teams that qualified from winning their continental championships:
Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul - CEV Champions League Rexona Ades - South American Champs Hisamitsu Springs - Asian Champs
And the two wildcards are Dinamo Krasnodar (Garay, Sokolova, Kosheleva, Fabíola, Calderón) and Mirador (from the Dominican Republic). I'd much rather see Kazan, Solly's or VakifBank in this over Mirador.

If Graça wasn't such a good "fundraiser" internationally, he should have been canned a couple years ago for what he did in the CBV.

Foluke MUST leave Baku. She's stayed there for far too long. Did she sign a lifetime contract or something?? Jesus. True that! She had that season in Russia with Krasnodar, but I'd like to see her in Turkey with Jordan. I read that Poljak re-signed with Ecza as did Bauer for Fener. I think Barbolini was hoping that Centoni would be as good this season as she was with RC Cannes last season, but that wasn't the case. They had no other offensive options. No middles, subpar setting, etc. I think they'll go big this season.

Gala needs to first sign with Nilay from Ecza and one of the Gizems from Vakif and get two stud pin hitters like Kim Hill, Pavan and/or Rhykliuk. They should also look into bringing in an American or Brazilian middle. Are you much of a fan of Dixon?

Kim Hill signed with Vakifbank (http://www.voleybolextra.com/51613/vakifbank-ona-imzayi-attirdi/). Galatasary is going to have to sign a pin hitter that can pass. I think they'll probably just renew Bossetti's contract (although I don't consider her to be a particularly strong passer). Dixon is solid but not elite. I like Gibbemeyer a lot more but apparently Karch doesn't.
