I agree that not all the best player's at 15's attend HP, Micah Ma'a is an example. However, I wouldn't say HP doesn't mean "anything"
"
Of the fourteen players on the 2014 Gold Medal World League roster, twelve of them had come up through the High Performance pipeline. The HP program is working and the process is working. Our USA coaches are doing an excellent job and teach the game in the manner we believe is best. If you are given a chance to participate in a High Performance program, take that opportunity. If the invitation level you receive is lower than you had hoped, don’t even focus on that; attend the program and be the best at that level. Then both you and the USA coaching staff will know that you are ready to move up.
I hope to see you in the National Team gym one day, fighting for a spot at the highest level of our sport.
Best of luck in all of your volleyball endeavors. Sincerely,
John Speraw, Head Coach
USA Volleyball Men’s National Team"

Just based off what we have seen so far this season, who is projected to make all tourney team for 15s? Haha. Better be nice to your coach he picks you for all tournament at Nationals. You have to be in gold bracket and no red cards. The coach ranks his players prior to the start of gold bracket from 1 to 3. 1st place gets 3 (MVP). 2nd place gets 3. 3rd place teams each get 2. 5th place teams each get 1. Got to get to gold first. Haha.

The 949 setter Patrick Paragas was in Select Continental last summer and went to the Holiday Camp. McSweeney and Kouri have never done HP before, though. McSweeney has never done HP because he rather surf and play beach volleyball than be in a gym all summer. True Mcsweeney loves to surf and play beach volleyball but that's not why he doesn't play HP. It is to expensive and his family is most likely not able to afford it.

Does anyone know about Rey Sanchez from frvbc 151? He is very good and a 2018 grad never heard of him, but hes from a team that won club nationals..... Not that impressive.

After BJNC, what are the takeaways for the Class of 2018? Any surprises? All tourney team looks packed with SoCal players - thoughts?

IMO, All tournament team was bs. hbc's libero shouldn't have made it Denny Kouri shoud have. MVVC also played surprisingly well. They came in as the 21st seed nd finished 9th. They took Torrimar to three, and I was impressed by their outsides, a middle #37 and their libero #8

I was very impressed by Brandon Browning from 949! After SCVA I wasn't sure if he would have a starting spot but he really stepped his game up at nationals and he is excellent is defense and superb is serve receive. Definitely one of the top 2018 outsides in my opinion
