I love her fire, but I wonder if Kelsey is going to lose out to Vansant at OH the way they are talking. And based on this week, I'd take Fawcett over Murphy. Of course Molly is the one I'm going to feel the most sorry for... She might get to play World Cup, but not Rio (assuming Glass is healthy). Nope. Passing.

Thanks for doing this. I totaled up all the numbers and see that Omaha had the second best attendance of the last four years and only about 900 behind #1. The 8500 for yesterday's match of USA vs. China was the largest crowd for any match in the last four years. I would say that Nebraska fans represented themselves fairly well with their attendance. I'll bet had it been held in Lincoln that it would have easily taken over the #1 spot.

And would have looked like a larger crowd. The arena itself is probably too large -- in Omaha.

The staff loves Murphy.... Short of injuries- this Grand Prix squad is the the roster rio. One middle and likely the second liberal will be cut. I'd vote to keep the liberals. haha, this is how one of the Pan Am announcers kept pronouncing 'libero.' very close to 'liberal.' bugged the hell out of me.

. . . Let's hope World Cup doesn't turn out as abysmal as GP. with that sentiment you should almost never watch college VB or professional VB until it comes to the final 4-8 teams for whatever competition to avoid comparably 'abysmal' teams playing each other. You're right I almost never do unless there's a player I'm interested in or evaluating.

She will not be on the team at any point before Rio so why discuss her?

It was striking to watch throughout the tournament how the other team coaches would be yelling at their teams and telling them to do something different or how to do something and the conversation was all basically one-way.
Karch throughout would calmly address the team for a couple of words and then say "What do we do now?" or something like that, and one of the players would calmly state a sequence of things. The video excerpts were not long enough (nor have I repeatedly watched them on replay) to really know what was being said, but that was my take on what was occurring.
Can someone who knows something please explain to someone who doesn't know much what is going on here? On the surface it seems like a fantastic way to get a bunch of people with sharp volleyball minds (must be, since they are there) to come up with a plan of action and see if someone is seeing something not obvious from the sidelines. It also seems like a great way to develop future coaches.
