I didn't realize the blocking feature was so easy to use on VT. Great feature.
Everyone here is very supportive of this team and takes the time to actually follow the team, even down to the stats - when the rest of country has no idea this tournament even exists. I'm glad people support their favorite players and the team as whole.

I just checked the FIVB facts and figures for the USA... Best Scorer: 1. Sun 2. Plummer 3. Lanier Best Spiker: 1. Plummer 2. Lanier 3. Sun Best Blocker: 1. Plummer 2. Pittman 3. Sun Best Server: 1. Plummer 2. Sun 3. Pittman Best Setter: 1. Hilley 2. Lilley Best Digger: 1. Clark 2. Plummer 3. Sun Best Receiver: 1. Clark 2. Lanier 3. Hentz; Sun is actually the worst receiver so far. Based on this performance so far, I really think Plummer may be the #1 senior ace. Stone and Pittman in the 5-10 range. Plummer is actually a close second out of all the teams in terms of Best Spiker Here's a simple wish for this team, and all others that have the privilege of wearing our nation's colors and representing us in competitions around the planet: that all VT fans, and those that don't comment, would root for the teams, without bias or preference based on where the student/athlete goes to school or will go to school. When they are wearing Red, White and Blue, they are on the US's team and not a Longhorn, Badger, Cardinal, etc. They are representing the USA. I totally get why it's easy to want to support those that are, or will be, our own. But instead of myopically supporting or rooting for simply those current players from your favorite college roster or future rosters, savor being able to root for all of them now, as if they were your own. Kathryn Plummer isn't a Stanford Cardinal now. She's a USA Youth National Team member. Lexi Sun, fans in Austin, isn't a Longhorn yet. She will be, and will be great there, but she's a member of the USA's Youth National Team. Heck Stanford fans, who were absolutely convinced that Morgan Hentz would be starting as the Libero for the USA's National Team in Lima, Peru, should now be rooting just as hard for Tiffany Clark as our team's Libero even though Tiffany is committed to joining Michigan in 2016. All of us need to put our passion for our favorite college program aside and root, in a unified way, for Team USA. It's healthy and it's the right thing to do. Go USA! Well said, but this is like asking "Future for Stanford" posters to stop breathing.

Nice selection of talent - really lucky this doesn't conflict with Nationals. Sanders is still uncommitted AFAIK. She's staying close to home - Washington.

Just checked and Plummer is actually the best spiker right now. Paola Egonu from Italy is #2. Yingying Li from China is #3
Sydney Hilley #2 for best setter

Amount of running sets per set, basically number of sets where there is only one blocker or none I believe

Hilley is actually #1 Setter. Fivb has her playing 14 sets in the setter calculation.
She has played only 12 sets (played only set 1 vs Belgium)

We're scheduled to start against Brazil at the top of the hour.
Egypt took a set off of China in the Round of 16. We live in interesting times.

USA won the first set 25-19
Plummer and Sun both only had ONE kill... a lot of the points were opponent errors. Not sure if this was due to the setting or due to the defense of the other team, but both the US and Brazil only had 9 kills in the first set... sounds kinda low
