Personally, from what I've seen, I think either Fitzmorris/Plummer will be #1. Plummer dominates in almost every match and hits high numbers. That's partially because she gets less swings, but very effective nonetheless. Man, she's such a force at the net blocking and hitting. Lanier/Stivrins also very good. I think Stivrins is one of the most effective using the slide.

Lanier carried her team in that finals match. They couldn't stop her.

Opposing setters seem to be very aware of her presence and backseat a lot when she's front row. Her setting in high level also. She set Hodson in two rows to high numbers. Dyer seemed to benefit from this as she was regularly unblocked or 1/1. Tstreet's undersized middles are also more effective when Plummer is setting. She is more deceptive than Dyer and that works in their slow offense. She absolutely dominated TAV outsides with block after block. Sun had to hit sharp angle cross court and Tstreet made adjustments. CVC stopped going to Williams in the front row and used her almost exclusively out of the back.

Without jumping, her hands are over the net when she sets so she can essentially dump it while back row setting. Not sure if they'll use her as a setter at Stanford, but if she plays in a 6-2/has to set the second ball that could be an option. She's a nice addition to Stanford because she adds a lot of power and size at the right side, not something a lot of teams can establish. Also, her back row defense is superb especially since she has beach/sand experience.

Hart is from the class of 2016. I don't think the senior aces are out yet, maybe in 2 or 3 months time.

OHs Khalia Lanier - hits like a man, can't stop her Alexis Hart - probably the most athletic player in this class Caitlyn Cooper - did an amazing job in the finals, curious how she will do in 18s Abby Buckingham - hammer on the outside
RS Kathryn Plummer - we all know about her, she's a game changer Jada Burse - freak athlete
MB Lauren Stivrins - athletic and lanky Audrianna Fitz - strong and all around player Darielle King - she flies, most athletic middle in this class Madeleine Gates - strong middle
Setters Katie Olesak - runs the fastest offense in the nation Jenna Gray - IMO just as good as Katie Meghan Donovan- should transfer to the next level just fine Cindy Marina - very quick, committed to duke Jennifer Wineholt - wish a speedy recovery, very good player
Libero Kameryn Hill - solid all around libero Hailey Harward - very athletic, quick AVA Libero - played really well in finals and any match I say her in
Some players I watched play that caught my in New Orleans was Hayley Mcsparin from rockwood, plays middle. Very explosive with a fast arm. Fun to watch. Hannah Frohling from OP2. Hits more balls than other player in 17 Open probably. Stud. Going to Pepperdine. Kyra Bansko from SG Elite, very similar to Hannah just a little shorter. Very athletic and sees hands well too. McKenna Miller from Forza as well committed to BYU.
NOTE: Not saying these players are all top 10 but they do deserve recognition.

I really don't see Stivrins ranked higher than Fitzmorris IMO. While Stivrins is good, Fitzmorris is better at virtually every aspect: Hitting-Fitzmorris is a lights out hitter, terminal go-to; Stivrins is just a complement to Lanier. Blocking- Fitzmorris gets up so high and just shuts down other players, as does Stivrins but I think Fitz is stronger Defense (back row)- obviously Fitzmorris is way better as she is 6 rotation and can also play 6 rotation oppo
Also, Fitzmorris has more international experience and is so versatile. If both Fitz and Plummer aren't in the top 3 I think they'd be robbed. Things could change, but I personally don't see Stivrins ranked higher than Fitz.

I'm sure you all already know this, but Fitz made her commitment publicly official this week - PrepVolleyball has it.
Good for you guys.

How much higher exactly? And, highest vertical = best outside hitter? I don't know either of them nor have I seen either play enough to judge, but someone doesn't need to know how much higher someone jumps EXACTLY to know how high someone jumps. We didn't need to know how much higher hooker jumped to know she jumps higher than most people when she played in the at texas, and even now. Lanier may be better, Haggerty may be better. Ive seen hagerty play once or twice, only on videos though, and I liked what I saw. Haven't say lanier play so can't judge that though. Whoosh.

I was mainly referring to you asking how high exactly, in which I think most people know, was to be snarky, in which the case is, someone doesn't need to know how high someone jumps to know one jumps higher.
