They aren't showing the all tournament selections. Sounds like Ma'a was MVP? I thought Joe Worsley should have gotten it. HA, little bias here? I wouldn't say that thinking Worsley should've gotten MVP is bias from a Hawaii fan. Given that he was the setter and captain (I think) and that Ma'a was only with the club for a month or so, Worsley would definitely be a contender for MVP.

Ma'a dominated last half of first set. He would be my MVP of gold finals.

Was it just me it do all the sets that HBC run seem very tight? It loos like it wasn't a mistake, it looked like they were intentionally designed to be run that way

Too many sets that the OH's could not hit. Worsley won the battle of the setters and little Worsley ate up DeFalco with his float serve. TJ needs to catch his passing skills up to the rest of his game. Micah was defintely the MVP. His passing and defense was defintely next level.

So, 17 open concludes tomorrow; predictions? Best possible upsets? Interesting that original top two seeds now meet in quarter-finals. Also, two teams seeded 24 (Bay to Bay) and 29 (Sting) make it to the final 8
San Juan vs Bay to Bay HBC vs Balboa Bay 949 vs Milwaukee Sting LIVBC vs SCVC

I noticed that HBC's best offense came from TJ hitting out of the back row... My guess is that HBC is used to running fast tempo sets tight to the net that TJ and Blake are able to hit or tool. Pac Rims block was more disciplined and, frankly, bigger and were able to contain that fast and tight offense. HBC did not make the adjustment necessary to win, and that's why Pac Rim was able to plan and take advantage

WHAT?

Looks like Ryne Benson stopped HBC again from winning a national championship

Looks like Ryne Benson stopped HBC again from winning a national championship Ben Vaught has to feel pretty bad after this tournament and slowly being replaced by Ryne Benson. I know Pac Rim brought in an import, but HBC did not need to replace a solid right side in Ben with the known problem that Ryne Benson is.

Benson was less than average against Pac Rim's block...sets being all over the place didn't help either. I don't remember him even getting a kill - assuming he hit negative for the match.

Can anyone guess how good Little Worsley will be? That kid looks like he can't get any better! The class of 2017's best player might be a Libero if no one catches up to him!

SCVC 17 beats an exhausted looking 949 17 team in 2 San Juan 17 beats Balboa 17 in 3. Balboa had a number of match points. They served out twice on match point. Not sure the call of the last point.
