KM at Marquette, Septemeber 16. This should be a big early season matchup between a really talented team that could win State, and then there is Marquette too. just like every year. err... classiest coach. most ignorant team. usually the teams take on their coach's personality. km does not, unfortunately. Not sure what you mean here, please elaborate ...

Gulak is a saint, and don't you forget it... absolutely. gulak is a great guy who only speaks highly of other teams. unfortunately, his players do not do the same.

Not sure what you mean here, please elaborate ... what i mean is that every year km kids come on here talking about how they're going to win state and be the best team ever to play volleyball. correct me if i'm wrong, i don't think km has won state before.
having said that, due to a very good coach, km is usually peaking at the right time (playoffs) and has made some good runs in the past, but i don't remember them ever winning state.
and gulak is an unbelievably good guy. one of the classiest out there.

What does KM have this year that makes them a possible "state contender?"

What does KM have this year that makes them a possible "state contender?" Couple kids played Badger Regional team, setter and Outside, the 2 Nicks. The outside was on Sting 17, and overall they are returning their entire starting lineup from last year minus the younger Martell, Eric, which will be a big loss, but they are returning a lot of talent. Talent who has played together at Lake Country pretty much since 7th/8th grade, minus Nick Malak who just played Sting this past season. And then they have a wild card, Connor Lilly, who played MVC 16, and can be thrown in pretty much anywhere and help contribute. Should be one of the strongest teams since older Martell's senior year made it to the Semifinals in 2012, and even further back with Ian Reid in 2008, and then his Juniors made it again in 2009. There is reason to be optimistic out here in the Lake Country area, KM doesn't have a state title, but this year they have as good a chance as they ever have. Should be a fun year

I only saw Sting 17s play at Badger Region, but their second outside spot besides Farrell was very weak.

While I love an underdog (and taking anyone outside of MUHS), I just don't see it for KM. Although, I agree that Gulak is an outstanding man.
In defense of "kmluvr", not many schools outside of MUHS have won a state title (in 21st century). So, we shouldn't criticize him for that lol.

Do ESPN reporters who report on the Packers also have to have affiliations with the Packers? Lol, I'm just here cuz there isn't a lot of chat about KM otherwise, too many Milwaukee and Racilla area people here that KM sometimes gets forgotten

I appreciate that, but I'm just trying to prep everyone so when KM starts playing well, everyone is like, "Oh yeah, they were supposed to be pretty good." I know/ am a bunch of KM peoples, and know how much work we all have put in over the passed 5+ years, that it is nice when people talk about us. Unfortunately not a lot of people do talk about us, so I have to drum up some additional hype

I just found it funny how last year you hyped one of KMs players to be a possible POY candidate which obviously was not even in the ball park. If people are not talking about KM it's because they haven't done anything to cause conversation.....last year for example.

My best guess is Appleton North, Kaukauna, Kimberly in that order. From what I saw in club ball, there was mostly North players so that is why I put them #1. Plus, Kaukauna lost Belling. Truthfully, I don't really know though as I mostly know about SE WI. who is Appleton north bringing back I know they lose Liam and their setter also I think atleast one middle Talking to someone from up there, Kaukauna is not going to be as good as previous year's losing Belling and their setter. Their #1 middle (Schmidt) is moving to setter and apparently is pretty good as he played setter for his club team. But everyone else is average to slightly above average. Kimberly lost a lot of players including their all time hit leader from last year (Eddie Jansen). Appleton North is returning it's libero, 2nd outside and their right side is moving to outside. The setter won't be as good as last year but he'll get the job done and their defense will probably be their strength. Every starting player for this year played club so that'll help them probably be the #1 team in the Fva. The team that could surprise people is Appleton West. They're returning almost everyone including their middle who was 1st or 2nd team conference and their libero (Reese Douglas) who played club down in Milwaukee (can't remember which team) and could be a potential all state contender. Will they be good enough to upset North or Kaukauna? No. But they could upset some schools in tournaments. I think North will go to state and win one game but I don't think they can make it all the way to the championship.
