You should add a poll.

To be clear, you mean 6' player, not a 3 rotation OH.

Absolutely. The problem is finding eligibility for the Bosetti sisters ;-)

PSU-none BYU-Haddock Stanford-none Wisconsin-Thomas/Bates Texas-Neal Florida-Snyder/Recek UNC-Andrew Nebraska-none Washington-Scambray FSU-none That's actually 8, not 7. I stand corrected. Also, Washington and Wisconsin made it to the final four/final last year with 2 hitters under 5'9". So as to avoid perpetuating the hijack of the UCLA thread, I will address this here instead of the UCLA thread. In 2013, Wisconsin made the national finals with the 5-7 Deme Morales at L2 and the 5-11 Dominique THOMPSON at MB1. In 2014, Wisconsin won the B1G and made it to the regional finals with the 5-11 Kelli Bates at L1 and Thompson still at MB1 (Morales moved to DS). Courtney THOMAS, the Wisconsin RS who just graduated, is a solid 6-0.

With decent hops, which most D1 players will have, a 6-0 OH is just fine. I find it more impressive that we've been so successful with a 5-11 OH and 5-11 MB.

Does it really make that much of a difference? Personally I think 5'11" is the cutoff for most for too short.

But then someone is going to say, it's only one inch difference between 5'10" and 5'11". It's a game that we could all play until we are blue in the face.

I think a couple of factors, 5'10", 5'11", 6'0"..depends on the player I think, skill, vertical, style of play etc etc. But yes I definately think you can..
