Similar to DI/II, I would like to see nominees for D3 blocker of the year and server of the year. Thoughts?

I think everyone that for AA fully deserved it based on competition played AGAINST ALL OF THE TEAMS THAT QUALIFIED BASED ON THEIR RANKING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. can we please put this conversation to rest and now look to the competition this weekend?

Hitting % are great and that appears to be by far the most important consideration, but in a sport with 6 positions, if you can't score 1/10 of your teams points in the sets you played, why do we care who you played against? That's like saying the kid who flunked out of Stevens is smarter than the kid who graduates from New Paltz. I think the best players are the ones who help their team the most. What do you want to say about this weekend? We get Rutgers-Stevens on Friday, Carthage-Springfield on Saturday, and some balloons and confetti for New Paltz on Sunday. Unless Ross Madden is coming to the banquent what else is there to talk about?

Why is it so easy to predict the winner of the tournament almost every year? Will it ever reach a point of unpredictability like D1 men's basketball? Doesn't get boring when everyone knows who the champions are going to be by February?

Doesn't get boring when everyone knows who the champions are going to be by February? I think Springfield avenges the two losses against New Paltz and raises the trophy. It's tough to beat a team 3 times in one season, add the pressure of playing in the national Championship match combined with the desire to keep the undefeated record intact knowing this one loss would be the worst loss they will have experienced.

And this, folks, is why they play the games . . .
Everyone has an opinion, and they are free to share it. No outcome / result is a given. Should be a great weekend of D3 championship volleyball! Let the results speak for themselves!

Christian Smoth is a fine setter. In my opinion he gets wayyyy toooo much credit. He's surrounded by a ton of talent and two of the three best middles in the game in 2016 (Rosario is better than both np middles). Smith is 98 in blocking, 10th in assists per set. It's easy to give the quarterback of the best team the recognition but my money says he's not hay good as a pure setter. 98 in blocking? You set serve and block that's it. As a server he's not even top 100 in aces. No, not an all American. People talk about player of the year. Sorry everyone but he's not only not player of the year, he's not even an all American. He gets too much credit for his team.
