I'm going to be most interested in how the middles are ranked. Fitz, Agbaji, Stone, Pittman, King, Davis, Stivrins... Wow a lot of good middles. Also interested to see where some of the OHs ranked like Haggerty, Lanier, Milana, Hart, and Sokolowski.

I think Fitzmorris will be the number one recruit in the nation. Fitzmorris was on the YNT in 2012 (champions of Norceca) and 2013. She was picked as one of the two best middles at the World Championships in Thailand. She was on the Junior National team for Norceca and the USA team finished first in Guatemala. She was the starting right side for the Junior National Team in Europe and she played all six rotations at 6'6". Next will be Plummer and Lanier in the overall ranking. As far as the other middles, Orie Agbaji had one really good final match during the European Global Challenge. IMO she jumps great but lacks many of the fundamental skills. Pittman hits the ball very hard but needs to concentrate more on blocking. Stivrins hits the slide very well and will be a good player for Nebraska. I believe Stone will play outside for Oregon. The best OHs will be Lanier, Haggarty, Hart, Milana, Abby Buckingham (if her knee is better), and ?. Hart jumps better than all of the players but did not have a good tryout for the Youth National team. Lanier will be a star for USC from the very start of 2016.

In 2013 her high school team was the national champion according to prepvolleyball.com. She was the leading hitter and blocker as a sophomore and the high school team was undefeated. In 2014 Fitzmorris was on the Junior National Team that won the Norceca championship. (Note: Lanier, a top senior ace, tried out for the Junior National Team in 2014 but was not picked for the team at outside hitter.) In 2015 Fitzmorris was again on the Junior National Team that should have gone to the World Championships. The U.S. decided to not attend the world championships in Sept. 2015 in Puerto Rico. None of the college players on the team could attend the world championships. Instead Fitzmorris was the starting right side for the European Challenge and the tour of Europe. As noted elsewhere, Hayley Hodson (#1 of 2015) played one set at right side and did not play well at that position. After that, Fitzmorris started every other set for the Junior national team and she played all 6 rotations. Her high school team is ranked #1 by Max Preps at the moment. The reason I went back in time is that she is one of the few players to ever be on four U.S. national teams before her senior year of high school. That is quite impressive. Presently, USA Today HSS has her listed as one of the top 20 high school athletes in all sports to watch in 2016. Fitzmorris is the only volleyball player in the top 20.

If I remember correctly, Agbaji also tried out for the 2014 JNT but didn't make it...Fitz also amassed 650+ kills, was named the Max preps Junior VB player of the year, and named to the the American Family Insurance ALL-USA High School Volleyball Second Team, while no junior was named to the 1st team, and only Jenna Gray made the second team with Fitz

I view it as a decent predictor of college level performance, but SAP still misses plenty of hidden gems or under-coached talent that can be molded into very good if not great collegiate players.

I agree that SAP is not always an indicator nor is being on the national teams. It still bothers me that Ali Franti did not make the 2013 youth national team. Franti was one of the 28 finalists but was not selected to go to Thailand! Also, Carli Snyder did not make the 2013 team after being the MVP at the Norceca tourney in Mexico.

If fitzmorris was going to texas, would you be questioning her merits? Doubt it, since you defend Abaji like she's your daughter.
