What about Springfield College (MA)? They lost in the NEWMAC quarterfinal and then lost to Tufts in the first round of the NCAA's. I don't see them listed in the previews do you know who they brought in? Typically solid but the NEWMAC is loaded this year. Babson has their large class as Seniors this year with a solid addition in the FR class from what I've heard. Then other schools could pull good players from all over. MIT, Coast Guard, etc.

VolleyGolf
One team of six is in receive. Another group of six on other side ready to defend, off players are servers. The receive group will get 10-15 balls with the object to get the lowest score. Par is 4. You score by counting the amount of rallies it takes to sideout.
1st rally - Hole in One, 1 pt 2nd rally - Eagle, 2 pts 3rd rally - Birdie, 3 pts Any sideout 4 and over is Par, 4 pts If the opponent holds - Bogey, 5 pts
Block does not count as a touch, so if the receive team doesn't side out, but blocks the server's counterattack, can still be the lower score option. So say they attacked the first time and the serving team dug them up countered. If they block them, they still get the Hole in One. Can have the receive team work one rotation for their 10-15, or have to rotate each time they get a sideout. After the 10-15 balls, switch the next group in to see who can get the lowest score.

Interesting weekend with four of the top five schools losing a match. Emory looks to be the next school to ascend to #1 after knocking off Calvin. Carthage and Juniata should move up too.

Noticed that Cal Lu played a couple matches w/o AA OH A. Eason and that she played limited amounts when she was in. Nursing an injury? Regals become very one dimensional w/o their grittiest player...

Four of the top 5 teams went down, and last year's top teams from the Northeast and California/Texas Regions look like a mess already.
So far, the only thing we know is that the UAA is going to be a beast! Emory and Chicago with proper trophy wins, and Wash U, Carnegie Mellon and Case Western join them among the ranks of the undefeated.
