Only one undefeated team left in the Top 25.
Emory drops two matches this weekend to Calvin and Claremont. Does Calvin move to #1 or Juniata, still undefeated, jump to that spot after beating #3 Christopher Newport @ CNU this past weekend. Seems to be a high caliber year in DIII. Lots of good teams and lots of teams traveling to play good competition leading into the conference season. It's great to see so many high quality tournaments!

SCIAC schedule looking like quite a gauntlet this year: #7 CLU has lost to #6 Carthage and #4 Emory, but has beaten #3 Washington-St Louis, #5 Calvin and RV La Verne; #9 CMS lost to #3 Washington-St Louis,#6 Carthage and RV La Verne, but beat #4 Emory @ Emory; RV La Verne beat #9 CMS, but lost to #7 CLU and #6 Carthage. Will be interesting when current #1 Juniata comes to La Verne on Oct 10... Also, CLU is done with non-conference until playoffs, but CMS and La Verne both face #18 Southwestern in October.

It's conference tournament week in D III. Considering this thread was 30 pages deep, I suspect interest is tepid at best, but you can follow each of the 44 D III AQ tourneys from a single page. D III Conference TourneysFeel free to click around the blog for other D III miscellany.

Juniata was down 11(or 10) -14 in the 5th set at home to Susquehanna and pulled out the big comeback. Juniata hasn't lost a conference match in 30+ years, so this almost was a newsworthy upset however the home court advantage and calm play led JC to the victory. Great match to all!

Wait! So I think the OAC might have the dumbest way to give out an AQ in all of sports. The regular season champ only has the make the tournament finals to get the AQ. If they don't make the finals then the tournament winner gets the AQ. Stupidest thing ever. Either give the AQ to the regular season winner or the tournament winner, not this stupid thing.

Just checking in, I haven't followed the committee super close this year but based on the last NCAA rankings the 1 and 2 (MIT and Springfield) both lost in the NEWMAC tournament. Then Amherst is the 3 and lost in the NESCAC's. They all have great winning %'s...It seems like it takes 5+ wins vs ranked opponents to get in. Not sure how many wins over ranked opponents from other regions there are in those results though or vs teams in the NCAA Tournament.
