If A&M beats Florida Sunday, would have to think A&M clinches a share at minimum. Would still have to win at Mizzou the following Wednesday to win it outright if Mizzou beats Ole Miss... Texas A&M can clinch a share this Sunday with a win over Florida AND a Mizzou loss to Mississippi. Otherwise they'll have to wait. ...Either way, can we all agree that Mizzou and A&M have been good additions to the league for VB Yup!

Mizzou is only team behind A&M that doesn't need help then, correct (to win at least a share)

Correct. The Aggies could clinch a share with a win sunday and a loss by Missouri at Ole Miss. Texas A&M has the toughest schedule in the final stretch and i think for the entire conference season as well from a RPI perspective

Texas A&M has a brutal end of season schedule, it is hard to see them not picking up at least one more loss Kentucky probably has the easiest schedule left (I am not counting Florida) Missouri is in a good position if they don't have let downs(and naturally still have to beat A&M) It would be really interesting if we ended up with a 3 way (or possibly 4 way) tie at the end, what are the tiebreakers for the automatic bid once you have that many teams? H2H is the first tiebreaker for AQ, then it is set record between tied teams. ex: UF would get TB vs. MU because they won 3-0 and lost 3-2. it gets more tricky after that. I'm in touch with Jill @ SEC for official regs. With A&M still to play UF and MU, that's still in the air. Of course A&M beating UF Sunday eliminates the gators from the discussion.

This is the most exciting race to the finish in the SEC in recent memory...

Also looks like once again someone other than Florida will win in an odd numbered year.
2009 LSU 2010 Florida 2011 Tennessee 2012 Florida 2013 Missouri 2014 Florida

That would be interesting. As a Florida fan, this rotation of champions is really good for the league. The league is getting better as a whole and I think our teams will have a decent showing in December.

With A&M win on 11/23, Florida was eliminated from any share of SEC title. This leaves: A&M 14-2 left @miz 11/25; @ ARK 11/26 MIZ 13-3 left A&M 11/25; SC 11/27 KY 12-4 left GA 11/25; AUB 11/27
IF A&M wins 11/23 @miz they clinch championship outright.
If MIZ wins vs. A&M, nothing is decided as they will both be 14-3 with one left.
If they tie at 15-3 (ie both win last game) this is the tie breaker for AQ (they would both be co-champs) 1. head to head. Split season series 1-1. 2. Next tiebreaker is games head-to-head. A&M swept MIZ in 1st game. So, unless MIZ sweeps A&M, Aggies get AQ. 3. If MIZ does sweep, next tiebreaker is net points (yes, points) head to head. A&M won all three sets by the minimum, so are +6. So if MIZ sweeps A&M with any set being won by more than 2 points, MIZ would be AQ. 4. if MIZ sweeps and each set is by 2 points, the next tiebreaker is conference sets won. in their 3 losses (incl. MIZ sweep in this scenario), A&M got one set vs. ARK, so that's 46. MIZ's 3 losses had 2 sets vs Alabama, so that would be 47. MIZ is AQ.
If MIZ beats A&M but MIZ and A&M both LOSE their last game, and KY loses at least one, leaving A&M and MIZ at 14-4, then step 1-3, same as above. 4. Sets won in conference: they would go into last game with MIZ 44 sets won, and A&M 43 sets won. Either team can win this step in a loss. if this step somehow ties, then the last TBs are: 5. Points in ALL conference games. (TBD. cross that bridge if we need to). 6. Coin toss by SEC.
There cannot be a 2-way tie for 1st with KY at 14-4, with either MIZ or A&M, since that would mean A&M lost to MU, which would only allow for 3-way tie at 14-4. In a 3-way tie at 14-4, the following need to happen: KY wins out, A&M loses out, and MIZ loses last game after beating A&M. In that scenario: 1. First tiebreaker is number of SETS won among the 3: A&M beat KY 3-1 and 3-0. A&M beat MU 3-0 and would have lost 3-?. MIZ beat KY 3-2. so A&M would have 9 +? sets, MIZ would have 9 sets, KY would have 5 sets. Anything less than a MIZ sweep wins this for A&M. A MIZ sweep ties that step, and SEC regs say to revert to 2-team tiebreaker at this point. See above.
So A&M win 3-way TB or 2-way TB with MIZ for AQ unless MIZ sweeps. IF MU does sweep A&M, it won't be decided until Friday (if MIZ wins vs. SC), or Saturday, (if both lose). KY cannot be the AQ.

Just for the record here are the SEC VB tiebreakers, courtesy Jill Skotarczak at SEC): 2-team tiebreaker for Automatic Qualifier between co-champs: A: Head-to-Head record B: Number of SETS won Head-to-Head C: Number of POINTS scored Head-to-Head D: Number of SETS won in Conference E: Number of POINTS scored in Conference F: Coin toss
3-or-more-team tiebreaker: (if any step leaves only 2 teams tied, revert to step 1 of 2-team procedure) A: Number of SETS won in Head-to-Head matches B: Number of POINTS scored in Head-to-Head matches C: Number of SETS won in Conference D: Number of POINTS scored in Conference E: Coin toss
Editorial: Step (A) of the 3-team TB is a little weak, as it favors teams playing the others twice over actually winning. But those are the regs.

The league is getting better as a whole and I think our teams will have a decent showing in December. Well, the 4-way is out now. Mary's big dream has always been a strong SEC, and now the addition of 2 Big-12 defectors seems to have done that. She has suffered most, but for the good of the league. Her other dream is of restoring the conference tournament, to improve NCAA performance. Hope that happens. Mizzou would be great hosts, but probably wouldn't get bids due to distance.

I know a lot of people are upset with Florida play and some of the issues mentally that the team has but it has a huge level of talent...21-6 same record as Texas A&M with each of them having a big time quality win Florida=Texas, TAMU=Minnesota
I think the level of play at the top has improved quite a bit and all four top teams will have a huge portion of their current rotations back next year with some additions...Virtually Kentucky and TAMU lose one starter from current lineup, although a huge loss form each team. Bergen and Sullivan. Florida has one of the best recruiting classes it has had.
SEC added some really good coaches in the last few years and hope to see the fruits of the coaching and recruiting elevate the mid to bottom of SEC
It would take some work but the SEC has the resources to be the third best conference in the country with some recruiting hotbeds in close proximity

Mizzou brings back everyone except Peltier 91.89 kps, .169 hitting) next year. Replace with a top-50 kid or Sydney Deeken. Mizzou should reload again too. Top four in the league look to be strong for several years ahead.
Real question becomes: who is your league POTY, COTY, FOTY, etc. A lot of be determined so it all depends on when they vote I guess. Gotta be Corbelli or Kreklow for COTY. Babers or Kan for POTY. Munlyn for Mizzou for FOTY. Thoughts?

Looks like SEC went from 4 teams possibly hosting to 2. MIZ and UK are out of the top 16 RPI right now. Only Mizzou win over A&M and SC will get them back in. Rightfully, UK doesn't deserve hosting anymore.
FOTY: was thinking McIlroy, but Munlyn just got her 3rd FOTW in 4 weeks, so....
COTY: Winner of Wednesday's MU vs. A&M match.
POTY: won't be Kan. Her in conference numbers just don't hold up. Babers.
Agree with naked crayon All-SEC
