How about Dunning, with all of the talent he has he should be a lock for a national title...then again isn't that the way it is every year at stanford? I think Dunning's results are good enough in the AD's eyes while a little subpar to those that follow the game intensely given how much talent he's had over the years. Being on the hot seat isn't just about results, but about what each school's AD expects. Dunning runs a clean program and the girls flourish personally and academically there even if some critics may contend he's not necessarily maximizing the talent of his roster.

South Carolina? Georgetown? Scott came in and cleaned house. Now he brought in his own players and many of them transferred. He called Allie the best setter he ever coached - at the end of the season he lost her and his starting setter as well. He had a Spring without a setter, and now he has two Freshman setters. The SEC is not great, but SC will be last. Something is making all these girls transfer!

Colorado should be on there. Without Taylor Simpson that team loses just about the entire offense and won't be a top 25 team after the non conference is over. And with all the other baggage that looms over the program, I'm sure the AD will look for some sort of change with only mediocrity and 1 good season.

Having made the 2nd round the past two season, volleyball is currently one of the very most successful sports on campus. If Taylor Simpson never came, Kritza would be out. But yeah, Taylor Simpson came.

Stealing JA's thunder I see.....here are my nominees: Rutgers - Red Hot - VT thought he was a dead-man walking last season and it will be hard to change that trend in the BIG Tennessee - Red Hot - from the Final Four to frying pan, transfers abound, while success has been elusive recently for Rob, the Joan Cronan Facility is state of the art, but may well have new residents soon. Middle Tennessee - Red Hot - max exodus including staff members has the administration less than thrilled, CUSA membership hasn't been overly kind to Matt, it maybe win or gone in Murfreesboro. DePaul - Red Hot - five years of eh, and a 3-27 record in talent rich Chicago makes this seat hot for sure. Wake Forest - Red Hot - only in his 3rd season hard to say if Ken deserves a red-hot seat, but having your name mentioned on ESPN's Outside the Lines in a less than positive manner will do it every time. Wright State - Toasty - success at Niagara hasn't flowed to Dayton, Clements has 13 wins in three seasons and that's enough to melt plenty of snow. Davidson - Warming-Up - 4-20 last season and one game over .500 in the other two seasons, Willis has to feel the temp rising. It remains to be seen if the A10 will be kinder this season. San Jose - Warming-Up - 4-27 last season, a VT favorite, how do you cool things down after a mass letting? You go all international. Time will tell if these relieves stress along the fault. Fordham - Warming-Up - 3-25 last season and 3 and 10 wins in the other two years plus seeming inability to keep a staff together. Probably deserves a red-hot, but its Fordham, those Jesuits are really patient. How did these teams do opening weekend?

Well technically weekend isn't over yet, but 13-16 overall. Tennessee went 4-0 and Wright State 3-0, for more than half of those wins. UT wins - Del St, Coppin St, Towson and St. Francis PA - not exactly an RPI robust schedule - but 4-0 for Rob. Wright State - Niagara, Evansville, Tenn Tech - for Wright St, those are decent wins.

Well after the first 4 games MTSU is playing strong at 1-3. Their win comes against Bowling Green in three and the losses are against Cleveland State in three, Indiana in five and and a young Notre Dame team in four who in time will be awesome with J. Mac as their coach. After the Indiana loss, MTSU head coach Matt Peck mentions in an interview that he is going to have a strong team this year. Really, you are kidding me. If I am not mistaken, he has had at least 6 freshman on his team for the past three years.

I may not understand Sealy's game time decisions. EVER. Curious why he would be in the "hot seat?" They went 22-12 last year.

I think UCLA will struggle this year in the Pac 12 (although the league in general is down a little from last season), but as you said, they had a solid 2014. And Sealy can point to his best class by far (top five, maybe?) coming in next year. I find Sealy's decision-making often strange and occasionally downright counterproductive, but I'd be surprised if his seat was more than slightly above room temp.

There's a California public PAC-12 that took a worse loss this weekend, was way worse last year, and isn't going to get better in 2016 like UCLA will.

I agree they took a worse loss...I disagree they won't be better in 2016. They also played this past weekend with 3 starters out with injuries. I also think Sealy is fine...and they will be very good in 2016.
