I'm beyond shocked. I was led to believe Carlini and five cardboard cutouts could win matches like this. Maybe the other players are just getting in her way. Seriously, hard to read much into it. They're rebuilding their entire front line with young players who have little to no college experience. Bates is a terrific supporting player but at 5-11 isn't exactly a hitter you can build an offense around. Probably they will be fine. It is worrisome to hear Wisky fans expressing concerns that Carlini maybe doesn't look 100%. She has a lot of mileage on those knees. She would still obviously be a great player with reduced mobility but it does mean other players have to cover a little more ground defensively. Carlini didn't look physically hampered - at least on the crappy feed I watched. Just seemed rusty on her connections ,maybe not as able to pull off the ridiculous sets when pulled out of position. It seemed to get worse as the match wore on. She only got back in June we're finding out after a long rehab. I think it's just rust and unfamiliarity between her and her hitters. She is going to have to play her way back to her top level through the beginning of the season.

Though not as much as WKU owned UW today. Troll elsewhere, please. Good game, but come on now. "Troll" is such a default word to use when you have nothing intelligent to say. Everyone is a "supposed" troll @ sometime.

WKU has a history of upsetting good teams in the preseason; it has owned Purdue the last two years. Like I said, you got no business playing WKU out of the gate if you are a top 15 team. It doesnt really help your rpi, hurts you some if you lose, and they are very good, and very good early. You lose to Stanford, no big deal. Zero risk, high reward by virtue of rpi win or lose, and potentially getting a big win. Wisconsin SHOULD beat WKU, and have zero doubt in three weeks they would. But day 1, it's a dangerous match. Having said all of that, this loss wont define their season, and they will get better, and beat some really good teams.

They're worse than Hawaii fans. Bye. Don't bring us into your pettyness. Yes some Hawaii fans are over the top, but nearly EVERY team on this board has over the top fans. In fact, I think Wisconsin fans, (the ones who've been here for awhile not the bandwagon ones), are some of the most humble and calm on this board. If anyone is over the top, its you.

I don't think it was referring to the love of the badgers but more how carlini is looked at as second comming of Jesus. That's what's over top I believe

I don't think it was referring to the love of the badgers but more how carlini is looked at as second comming of Jesus. That's what's over top I believe I'm completely confused. I point out that Carlini isn't obviously hurt but is having connection problems and I'm criticized for thinking she is baby Jesus? It doesn't make any sense.
