I think Paulina is a liability Agreed. Aside from those 2 timely blocks, she really doesn't contribute anything to the left pin. Jerritt's wasting live-game opportunities to develop Yaazie. Couldn't have said that better. Those blocks were crucial but she continues to hit very inconsistent and is so timid. I liked what Yaz did the other day but the coaches must be seeing some thing they like more out of PPC.

"No business hanging in this match"? Did you see some of the defensive plays Nebraska was making? Nebraska was hanging in for a very good reason, and when it mattered most in set 4, our top OH came through with some huge kills. Nebraska has the weapons, the physicality, and the leadership this year. The only weak spot in Nebraska's offense, right now, seems to be Foecke. But I still like Foecke a lot, because of the power she brings--and I even like the leadership she seems to bring. Other than that, you've gotta like Kadie and Fien at OH-- a very strong pair. Action from the middles was great, as well, from both Haggerty and Hall, who basically won set 2 for us single-handedly. The major problem tonight was getting around Texas' block, which forced way too many errors. I think if Fien had started the match, things would've played out differently. I think they were referencing the 4th set when Texas gave up a 10 pt lead. Regardless of what they were referencing, I found the comment to be inaccurate, negative, and uninformed.

Ebony was unstoppable and Chloe did a great job! Amy continues to be steady.

When Prepvolleyball did a recent ranking based on ACTUAL impact on the 2012 class, she was still ranked 7th. I was like HUH what has she done so far. She had not seen much court time even though she has a NC ring

Ebony was unstoppable and Chloe did a great job! Amy continues to be steady. Amy's passing break-downs are frustrating to watch but Kat Brooks' shanking balls is completely unforgivable because that's her only role on the team (unlike Amy). I'd rather have Dalton back there passing on serve-receive instead of Brooks, but then Dalton wouldn't be able to sub in for Chloe in the front row like she did in the 5th set.

I was just really impressed with the defense and coverage by both teams. Justine with 23 digs and was always where she needed to be. One of the top L's in the country. Texas passing def has its moments but they looked scrappy and determined.

Texas has Nebraska's number 8 wins in the last 9 if I'm not mistaken. Great respect for big red though. Texas is a different team with ebony on the court . Yes , I agree with you 100 percent. One person's will can be so infectious.

I really like PPC, and it's unfortunate that she can't seem to get pass the mental hurdles that seem to limit her. I think she probably does well at practice, but for whatver reason struggles during the game. Passing was not bad. Just not always consistent. Defense was great though.

Yes, Nebraska leads the series overall 30-21, but 1-8 in the last nine. Not trending well! Who else has 21 wins against the children of the corn?

I think Nebraska has elite back row play, but the block wasn't there tonight, and offensively, we could not have looked more lost in the 1st and 3rd sets. If Nebraska wants to make Final 4 appearances, it must find an answer for the likes of Texas, Penn St, etc. We seemed outmatched at the net, and I understand it: that's going to happen sometimes when you play the #3 team in the nation. But this is Nebraska we're talking about. Nebraska should not be losing sets by more than 10 points. It's not enough at Nebraska to accept moral victories. I'm certain that I'm overreacting. I got really high on the team seeing all our depth available, and I was not expecting such a setback with the long scoring runs by Texas.

I'd love to see the recent #s against other teams with exceptional recruiting. Nebraska offers recruits national TV broadcasts, the largest crowds in the game of volleyball, a storied program with loads of history and accomplishment, and yet the "beast" players just aren't coming to Nebraska. Alternatively, our highly ranked recruits aren't developing as quickly as they need to be. But as I mentioned, I'm probably overreacting right now. It's possible Nebraska won't lose again in the month of September and could be 11-1 going into the Penn St game. Still very early in the season.

Even though this went to a 5th set, Nebraska really had no business hanging in this match. I thought Nebraska had the weapons and were overdue for a Final 4 run, but its clear they lack the leadership and physicality necessary at this point. Yup. They should just cancel the rest of the season after losing to a higher rated team on the road in the fourth match of the year. Really.... Get off the ledge.

It's not uncommon for good, even great, teams to lose a set by 10+ points in a set. For instance, in the 2012 Women's Olympic Final, Brazil lost the first set to USA 25-11, and then went on to win Gold. I'm not trying to make this out to be a "moral victory", per se, but Nebraska did play well enough to put itself in a position to win the game, pushing the match to a set 5. Now, it's a tough loss, that's for sure. We definitely wanted this one, and it's a hard pill to swallow, knowing that this group hasn't beaten Texas in its 4 matches.

Hasn't won in the last four. All due respect to the Huskers, but try 1-8 in the last nine!
