That was the definition of ugly. Glad we still gutted it out.

I guess UH didn't go after Loxley Keala because they were going after Higgins?

That match was tougher than it should've been.

Which player do you think they'll ask to come in for the postgame show interview? My money is on Granato.

we are in for a world of hurt if higgins doesn't distribute and set the middles better. tai limited is better because really she can only hit. the coaches need to recognize that tip early and let the defense know. our floor defense needs to really pick up and react better. i'm glad we won that was the #11 in big 10 lol. GO BOWS!

I really like Keala. Great setter and leader with lots of swagger and confidence on the court. She looks like a seasoned quarterback for this Iowa team.

That first set by Koelsch was ugly. I'm telling you, all of her sets other than the backset are shaky. Maybe she should just turnaround and backset all the time...hehe

last point looked in to me, but Iowa got away with one themselves so i guess they are even. but from TV it looked in.
the player of the match should have been Granato. she was the spark this team needed after Tai struggled. if Dave is smart, he starts her. i really think she earned it.
blocking was the most impressive thing tonight for Hawaii. one of the best blocking matches despite how ugly everything else turned out.
Iowa really did remind me of Witchita State. they have a good team, they should have a great season ahead of them.

Shoji should've played Castillo. Yes, it was close, but try her now, instead of playoff time when everyone is playing junk and then try to put in the freshmen who hasn't played in 2 months....but I guess Tai came through in set 4. Also, a lot of credit to Greeley...most efficient hitter tonight with 12 kills, .345 and 11 digs. A LOT of credit to greeley she is miss steady, she is such a weapon and yet 90/100 times she will go to taylor. what i really want the middles to do is become more available, like get off the net more so they can hit especially mitchem because she likes a shorter set.
