No, but last year they were over .500 and did ok in non-conference. They have beaten Canisius the past 3 years.
Don't think they are strong, but surprised that they are on this list.

You'll need to check your numbers. They graduated their setter (probably their best player) and their #1 OH (and she admittedly was #1 by a lot). The only other graduate was an MH used in about half the matches. Their top 5 scorers last year were (in order): Nethersole (graduated) Henchy (returned), #1 in blocks last year Gawrych (returned), #2 in blocks last year Horanzy (new coach released her?) 3rd in digs behind their setter and graduated OH Goodwin (new coach released her too?) who was also #3 in blocks The libero returned and their current kill and dig leader (freshman) was brought in by the previous coach. Last year they finished 17-13, now they are 0-11 with just graduating their setter and OH1. Any other changes were within the control of the current staff (and you said he brought in 3 recruits). Lastly, what coach that was going to be leaving would go out and recruit kids into a school with an uncertain situation? What if your boy didn't like the new recruits and declined to renew their scholarships? These are kids lives, coaches need to do the right thing by them. Well, you must be a friend of the old coach. The new coach did not release any athletes. If they left, they left on their own. Oh, and a coach that is planning on leaving generally still manages to do their job (and that includes recruiting) especially if they care about the future of the program they're leaving. It's a small community in New England, NY and New Jersey... everyone knows everyone but my connections are with alumni, current athletes and their former club directors. Two players on my list above would still be playing (plus another sub that he got rid of from last year). It was not their choice. Sounds like you're a friend of the new coach. My point still stands... they graduated a 4 year starting setter (their current setter is from PR and was brought in last year as a replacement), their OH1 and a reserve middle. That's not leaving the cupboards bare. Also, Hartford is not a school that is able to get junior commits. They are looking for seniors that couldn't get offered at a better school and are looking for some scholarship money late in the process (and that's the way it always has been). You can't blame the outgoing coach for a rocky transition in this case, his recruit is the team's kill leader right now (although with a low efficiency). I'm going to walk away now... hope the girls can get some wins but if they don't beat Holy Cross this weekend they're likely not going to get any this season.

Penn state, Washington, USC, Arizona st . Which will be the first to fall and last standing? Considering three of them are in the same conference, you'd think PSU is the best choice.
