I hope MN can stay clean over the next 3 matches (Michigan, Michigan State at home; Northwestern on the road) to set up that match with Penn State!

Actually, while I have a huge helping of crow and humble pie to consume given that in my post to begin this thread I slotted Minnesota between Michigan and Michigan State in 8th in the conference (that's not going to happen) I genuinely think that one of the next three matches might cause a hiccup for the Golden Gophers. I'm not feeling clairvoyant to predict which team will be victorious over Minnesota, but I think one will. Solid rationale? No, but just a feeling. If it's the same feeling that led me to predict them finishing 8th, then it's going to be me getting dirty.....again. Good luck.

With her and SSS I think they stay steady 3-0.

As a PSU fan, I hope they are 3-0 leading up to the Penn State match. MC is back (and hopefully stays healthy) and it should be a great match.

Assuming the teams don't lose before then (or even if Minny drops one), that game is setting up to be the de-facto Big Ten Championship game. At a minimum, the winner would be a heavy favorite to either win or tie for the title. You would think BTN or another network would pick it up. Any chance of that?

America's clamoring for Rutgers vs Farleigh Dickinson.

I don't think you were the only one who underestimated how the Gophers would do. One those is typing this right now. Maybe not 8th but probably in the 5 range. The Michigans do worry me. They seem to give the Gophers trouble but this is a different Gopher team than in years past so I hope they keep rolling! I'll send you some soap so you can get cleaned up!

Both Michigans are streaky and NW always seems to upset the Gophers once a season. If Minnesota is playing anywhere close to their A game, they will win all 3. But if they're off and any of those three teams play lights out, the Gophs will lose.
I'm not betting against them, however.

How is MN playing now compared to when they lost in five at PS? I know they haven't lost since that match. I would say PSU is playing their best vb of the season lately (except perhaps the Stanford match). Their lineup seems to really be working and Megan C is back. I have only seen one or two Gopher matches on BTN since the PSU match.

I will be interested in seeing how they play vs PSU with the pressure and expectation level the match will carry. PSU has proven to be in another league in big matches. We will see how Minnesota can do on that stage.
