How is KG? Season ending? Or just like last year for just a match? Praying for a speedy recovery! She looked fine. Had her knee taped and was going through her transition exercises during the broadcast.

hope kendra improves fast What are you talking about? Kendra is fine. You do know that she came in sets 4 & 5 against Florida and did well. Btw, who won that match again? Oh yeah, the Wahine. That's right!

That's right! I agree with ballervolley here. I've always wanted to see Kendra take over the setter spot, but she ran a sloppy offense tonight. She's EXCELLENT off the bench, brings good energy, bigger block, makes good decisions (usually), good on-two, sets TMO a higher ball which I think is what she needs, but Higgins has more consistent hands. I think the pressure of finally starting led to a shaky start for Koelsh. As much as I like her, there is definite room for improvement in her game.

Well now that she's the starter for a while I'm sure she can only get better.

I agree Courtside5. I think she's going to do great KNOWING that she is the starting setter at the moment. She only had one day to mentally prepare, going from that supporting role, to running the entire offense. I thought she did great towards the latter stages of the match, so she's already on the upswing.

Hawaii the only unbeaten team in the Big West now, but it doesn't get any easier, next up Northridge and Long Beach State at home.

Kenda had 4 and 6 blocks in the two nights she started.... how much more of an upswing are we expecting. Tai is still Tai but the offense seems to be working on all cylinders? Cheeezzee..

Dave Shoji did not seem happy tonight with the play, or effort, by the Wahine. He was standing all match with his arms crossed and a not a pleasant look on his face. I am expecting some very tough practice sessions this coming week. He wants to see the Wahine play like a Top 10 team. The first two sets they did not, the third set they sort of did.

That's right! Yup! The girl needs more reps in order to get better. Just like how Higgins needed a whole year to see the big improvement she has made this year. More reps, equal better play.

Riverside and Fullerton stink. They are going to stink for the next ten years. They would be better fit to join Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State L.A. In Division II.

Oh jeeez man c'mon already. Wahine were playing without their 1st string setter and Kalei went down early. Basically playing with one hand tied behind their back. 2 starters out and they still spanked UC Riverside. Over critical, you think!

Makenna Granato looked better. Her defense is good. She tends to pop the balls up instead of directing them to the setter. But at least she's in the right place and not letting the ball fall to the floor.
Gianna Guinasso got a good swing on a ball. Given that she's a DS, that's not supposed to happen. Koelsch delivered a bad set. Castillo was supposed to hit it but she hesitated and so, Guinasso blasted away.
Castillo got two kills. That last ball was OUT, I thought.
Annie Mitchem continues to look good. Ditto Emily Maglio. Actually, all the middles were great.
Brittany Hochevar went on a long schpiel about maturity and...I tuned her out.
Kendra Koelsch was not very good tonight. Her sets bordered on ugly. The team won, despite her. But I have confidence she'll do better.
Nikki Taylor, as always, was great.
Too bad for Kalei Greeley. Hope she gets better.

Hochevar tends to ramble a lot. Quite annoying.
