Don't take my word for it, but schedule seems to have this game on only ONE Fox channel--Chicago--at 6pm CT, not 3pm.
I imagine it'll be picked up by other Fox stations later this week. Oddly enough, there's no indication that the local Fox channel is showing it at all.
That must just be a StarTrib mistake, right? I'm sure it'll be on at 1pm during the week. Or 2am.

Did anyone else try to watch this match on Fox?
It came back for a few minutes after game 2 with Dave Loane and Adrey (DiPronio) Baugh talking. The tape appered to get stuck then when they came back again after after commercials it was a football discussion program.
No announcement or other information from the network saying why the final two games of the match weren't broadcast even though it appeared that they had allotted a full two hours for the match.
Very odd...

So, Golden Gorfer, you got football. I got boxing. Just what I needed to see, two hack fighters pummel each other. I am no happy!
After watching that stumblefest between Cal and Stanford it was a pleasure to watch two teams play some good Volleyball. It is pretty frustrating to not see the last two games.
If I see a replay of the match scheduled on any of the Fox stations I will post it in the TV scedule.

I thought I saw something about Tuesday @ Noon on DirectTV 641 for another replay. Can anyone confirm this?

I TAPED it. I guess I can go fish the tape out of the trash now.
I thought the first two games were pretty good VB. Certainly encouraging from a Minnesota point-of-view. Gordon was just playing out of her mind.
Game 3 would have been nice to see. ;D

I have to wonder, by the way, if there is a game 3 and 4 recorded. If there was a malfunction at the time, maybe there is nothing on tape.
You would have thought someone would have checked it since Friday, of course...

I just checked my Direct TV Guide. I could find nothing for Tuesday. On Wed. Oct 6 at 9 a.m. PDT, Women's Volleyball is listed on Channel 636, Fox OH, and Channel 638, Fox Cinn. Teams are not listed. Do I trust it? If it is OSU-Minn, do you think they show the last two games? Is this the fault of a disgruntled Minnesota fan?

Is this the fault of a disgruntled Minnesota fan? We would have kept game 3.

That is Fox Sports Net for you. I think Fox College Sports Central has the match scheduled again for Wednesday, I think at noon. I don't know if they have the last two games, though. The listing is at foxcollegesports.com. I didn't think Minnesota played all that well the first two games. Their block wasn't much of a factor, and they didn't seem to be getting into their offense. Of course, Gordon was playing great, which didn't help the Gophers at all. I like Dave Loane on the telecasts. If you have watched some of the other Fox Sports telecasts, you can tell a huge difference when you have someone who knows the sport and the players doing play by play. Minnesota is a hard team to call, I would think, with the 6-2 and all the subs they make, but I thought he did a good job with it. I would have liked to have seen the last two games, though.

So bottom line is: has anybody watched+taped this game. If so, what would be the fair market price ;D

I have it on Tivo. I have not watched it yet but my son watched the first game and said Gordon was on fire (the first three points of the game on kills ). By the way, you should check with your local cable company. We have subscribed to the other regional Fox Sports net channels in the West and the Southeast (in addition to our standard Midwest). They only charge us an additional $4.99 per month. Well worth the money if you are into watching lots of volleyball. We get at least one, sometimes two, West matches and we usually get a Florida vs somebody match. Over the past two weekends: Washington vs UCLA Stanford vs Cal Flordia vs Texas Ohio State vs Minnesota Mighigan vs Iowa one other FL match

Let us know after you try watching the TIVO'd copy of the match whether the last two games of the match actually got recorded.

Looks like OSU's strategy was to work Gentil to death. I would imagine that it you keep targeting one player that it would wear them down; especially the way Gentil covers the court. Looks like she shanked an unusual number of balls. Somthing's gotta give...either the hitters' arms or the passer's stamina.
Congrats to Gordon for another honor! She is very deserving!

I doubt that was OSU's strategy. Rather, it looked like it was Minnesota's strategy to channel Gordon at Gentil. It's amazing Gentil dug as many as she did, as shallow as she plays.
They also moved Gordon around a bit AND, don't forget, she was hitting well over .500 after 2 games and ended up at .360-something. Given that fact and the fact only Stevens had decent numbers (other than Gordon), I'd say the strategy would have worked if not for the fact Gordon is just TOO GOOD.
Anyhow. This was a great matchup (although it simplifies the match way too much): Gordon v. Gentil. Plain and simple, Gordon won. But I was still impressed with the way Gentil stood in there. You wouldn't catch me getting in the way of a Gordon blast. Not unless I get to be inside a tank.
