This is a big -- even historic -- match for the Gophers. Looking at seating charts, there are not a lot of seats left so it appears the Gophers likely will break the average attendance record set two seasons ago. If the Gophers can beat Ohio State, which is obviously not a given, I believe it will be their first-ever undefeated home season (I say "I believe" because I've only found stats back to 1994). It's senior night for Daly Santana, who has done more for the Gophers than almost any player I can recall in my 15 years of attendance (as well as Toni Alugbue, who's currently in line to leave the team after a single season, without a single kill). And, of course, both teams are looking to earn the highest-possible seeds in the NCAAs. www.gophersports.com/sports/w-volley/sched/minn-w-volley-sched.html

Gophers in a sweep. OSU hasn't regained the form that put them on top the B1G earlier this season. Despite their slip at Purdue Minnesota is the better team and home court is good for them .

Calouri had 2 last year, so Toni needs to get it in gear.
Seriously, just doesn't look like she feels comfortable on the reconstructed knee. She was much more agile earlier in the year than she seems now. I thought she'd be a role model for Morgan as she came back from her surgery. But then Morgan had her setback and Toni never seemed to be healthy.
Too bad.

I went through the sections, and found 79 seats left. This doesn't count the student section GA seating, which is first come first serve and will, presumably, fill up.
Wow.

In fairness, Alugbue has only appeared at the end of one set early in the year -- no kills or errors on two attempts, but she does have a set assist. Caluori played in 11 sets, had 2 kills and 4 errors on 22 attempts to hit negative. By all accounts Toni is a terrific young woman and a credit to the Gophers, playing time or not. Here's hoping she gets some court time tomorrow.

I don't think she's healthy enough. But it's been a couple of weeks since I saw her last.

A win guarantees the B1G Championship? Even if they were to lose to Indiana thereafter and Nebraska wins out? I'm assuming head to head would be the tiebreaker.

Seems like a kind, genuine, and humble young lady. Would be cool to see her get a little PT tomorrow.

Well, a tie would give us the championship. It would also give it to whichever team(s) we tied with.
There is a tiebreaker for the automatic selection to the tournament, though it doesn't mean much in the B1G. We hold the tiebreaker against Nebraska (1-0 head to head), Wisconsin (2-0 head to head), and, I believe, Penn State (1-1 head to head matches, 5-3 head to head sets).

I do expect MN to win its last two matches and win outright, but was just wondering what would happen if there was a tie. And, NE winning vs. IL and PSU to close the season is no guarantee.
