Out of curiosity, why isn't Krushkova getting any blocks? Is she not a good blocker? (only looking at today's stats)

Sheff: Really happy both teams left match healthy!
Felt UW played really well. Giving AMac especial props. Romana also gets a shout out. She's "looking for property in Indiana." Your Daily Sheffism.
Ball control was great. Struggled early but managed the short serves really well later.
Drews came out hitting well, and UW adjusted. Felt they did OK controlling her.
Really happy with how the team responds when things get tight.
(Thanks to Sheff for giving the eastern times for the selection show. Jon...yes there are east coast fans!)

From 0-2 and 4-4 and Sheff having to remind the fans to relax (remember Kevin bacon?) to 16-4. Congrats Badgers, great regular season

I did not expect a sweep. Of course, we couldn't much of the match, but it must have been the "Michigan State" Purdue team that showed up. Honestly, I think the badgers just played really well -- especially on defense. Some errors from Purdue, but not as many as I have seen in previous matches.

That settles it. Wisconsin is our #4 seed and is probably better than that.

Impressive end after a few hiccups at the beginning of the season. The maturation of a relatively young team, with new players at key positions, has been one of the best stories in the BT this season. Carlini ' s leadership and experience can take this team to the Final Four.

What a great way to end the season for the badgers! I got my wish. Pins really stepped it up today, especially Romana! Gilly also had a great match. The backcourt played really well too. This last run of matches against the Michigans, OSU, Illinois and Purdue has been pretty impressive from a number of perspectives. I think the badgers are about as prepared for the NCAAs as they could hope to be coming into the season. Spectacular job by the players and coaches.
Now we wait for the brackets. I'm guessing the badgers get Neb or Wash in their regional.

Really impressive run to the BIG finish by the Badgers. Looking forward to watching all the BIG teams against some non-conference opponents to see just how we stack up on the court instead of just the polls.

Well if I had known drinking 1.5 beers for a tough away match that ended up as a sweep I would have done that for Illinois! (it was Bell's Porter and Door County Brewing Company Pastoral Farmhouse ale).
In my mind I thought 13-7 would be a good run for a young team so this was a great Big Ten season.
I'd prefer Washington to Nebraska, despite our recent success against Nebraska.

Another really nice win to keep the streak going for the Badgers. I hope they can keep with the level of play going into the tournament.

Unfortunately, it seems like if Nebraska wins then Wisconsin and Nebraska will be #4 and #5, or vice versa. Just like you'd prefer to play Washington, I wouldn't mind Nebraska getting the #6 and playing Texas.

For Purdue to win will require: Evans needs to keep Adelaja and Cuttino consistently involved in the offense - too many periods of not working to get sets to the middles Middle offense was a wash in kills but Wisky middles had 8 more attempts. Nelson had one ridiculous 1-ball kill off an impossible-to-set set from LC. Evans struggled most of the night on the slide set. Drews got her kills but had 36 attempts with half coming from the back row. .250 did not get it done tonight Epenesa and Stahl combined for 10 4 36 .167 Gillis and Bates combined for 22 6 58 .276 Only 3 tonight to got along with 3 for Wisky Back to sloppy blocking with 3 BE and especially bad because they came at critical points of the match. Ouch! Another wash stat Two stats that stand out: Lauren gets her usual crazy assists for the night but goes 0 1 7 -.143 for attacks. Her hitting error was a dump straight into the net. The girl is human! Kriskova and McDonald were the unaccounted for wildcards tonight. Kriskova goes 13 1 16 for .750. Crazy numbers! McDonald gets 11 digs and adds an assist as well as a bunch of great serves that kept Purdue serve receive out of system. Difference makers tonight. Congrats to the Badgers on a dominating performance. Purdue with some soul searching to conduct heading into the tournament finishing off the season with a great win against Minny, a non-showing against Michigan State and a less than inspiring outing against Wisconsin.
