It's damn if you do, damn if you don't. People here used to throw Janie Penfield under the bus when she was on the committee because she didn't appear that she was standing up for MWC schools.

Well, we'll find out on Thursday when the fifth place Pac-12 team plays the third place B1G team. Colorado finished fifth but is not in the tournament. Oregon finished sixth.

Berger makes it seem as though it was a surprise UNI, got in. It was never a surprise for anyone paying attention. Every tournament eligible team that had a member on the Committee got in, it's not a surprise, it's expected. Interesting how Oregon and UNI weren't apart of the last four teams in.

2nd place, Kansas, would finish 5th in the pac 12, at best. Also, IMO there are about 8 pac 12 teams better than the 3rd or 4th big 10 team. Well, we'll find out on Thursday when the fifth place Pac-12 team plays the third place B1G team. It'll be a rematch of the 2012 Rose Bowl when Russell Wilson was the quarterback.

I wonder if she meant Az State but said Arizona.
Colorado not one of the last 4 out. Surprising.

no matter who the committee picks, there will always be people crying about it. And with a 64 team tournament, when it comes down to the last half dozen or so at-large spots, none of them are "really good" teams. Just a collection of halfway decent teams on both sides of the bubble.

Like in anything, you need to have allies (when you're not in the room). The MWC has none.

Colorado and Pitt out yet Villanova in? The committee missed an opportunity for another infinitely more interesting match-up in first round (vs Dayton), and possibly second round (Penn St), by not putting Colorado in the Villanova slot. Colorado is a fun team to watch, fifth in the PAC 12, that's gotta hurt.

So what conference does she think is better than the B1G or the PAC? She corrected herself to say "two of the top three" so I assume she is going with the stupid RPI theory of the Big 12 being better than the PAC-12. I went to a Big 8 school, but I think very few real people would say the Big 12 is better than the PAC 12. Not even close. 2nd place, Kansas, would finish 5th in the pac 12, at best. Also, IMO there are about 8 pac 12 teams better than the 3rd or 4th big 10 team. Hmmm... B1G 3rd place team is Wisconsin. B1G 4th place team is Penn State. Please tell me which 8 PAC 12 teams would be better than them. 5th and 6th place teams in the B1G were Purdue and Ohio State. Which 8 teams were better than them?
