The conference can now go no worse than .500 for the tournament.

USC was strong tonight against SD. As long as they play their game and don't mess up, they're going to the Final Four. I'm holding out hope for an Epic Washington, USC rematch. Bricio will be out for vengeance. On the other hand, if Washington makes it through, they'll be battle-hardened. USC will have been on vacation.

I'll take it. 2011 Illinois didnt play a seeded team until the National Semis, while USC had played Hawaii at Hawaii and Pepperdine, going 5 both matches. Illinois had a little more gas left, beating USC in 5.

Both teams have work to do first. But I would like to see them match up one more time. In four years, Sam Bricio has had maybe one good match against Washington. So that's an interesting factor. Plus, there is the whole co-PAC-champs angle.

Not a bad performance overall tonight for the Huskies, but not sure this performance would fly against USC on a neutral court.

And that set dropped to Cleveland State in the first round, USC didn't look shaky? I didn't see the match, I just presumed that it wasn't the strongest set by SC.
(I see once again, that my typing is a bit slooooow.)

I hope the set score trend does not continue for Washington. 3-0, then 3-1, then 3-2, then ... 3-3?
