That bad karma came form last seasons first round against TcU where tcu was winning, the. one of their senior outside hitters who was playing amazing fell and hurt her ankle. TCU team could not muster the fight. Hawaii went on to win the 5th. Huge Hawaii fan here but an hour before the MN and UH game i had this sinking feeling that Nikki would get hurt. Such a tough way to go and it's making me sick too. But we can all er through this! You're an idiot for saying that...

Anyway this forum is for fun and not to be taken seriously. I personnally believe doing good to others will come back to you. I don't think the TCU thing has anything to do with what happened. Maybe it's just ironic that what happened to TCU also happened to wahine. I don't understand the name calling here. This forum is for fun.

Hate to beat a dead horse......and I know the accident to Nikki was not on purpose...... but would like to hear that there was some concern on the part of the Minnesota coach and player about how Nikki was...how sorry they were it happened, etc. I too am very depressed and don't really care about the rest of the tournament. Can't believe how badly the year ended after all we went through in the beginning.....where did that bad karma come from! Some comments from Hugh from the StarTribune after the match about Nikki's injury. "It was disappointing to see [Taylor] get hurt. She was a big part of Hawaii's plan. We can only control the things we can, and we had to get back to work." Also, commenting on the sub-regional, "We're very happy to be moving on. This weekend felt more like a regional than it did a first or second round. These were two very good teams."

The way I see it I think UH and the AD should invest more in the volleyball program. The football program is a lost cause really. We really need to attract better recruits and one way to do that would be to overhaul the whole system. How can UH make the women's program more appealing to top recruits? New facilities, better accommodations, more scholies, give them jacuzzi's and hot tubs in their dorm rooms with free unlimited cable with netflix, free Rainbow's and L&L Drive-in plate lunches? Please what does UH have to do?!! Part of it could be that the recruits want to play in other conferences that are more competitive. And, I'm not sure how UH is regarded as an institution, but if an opportunity to sign with a really good school on the mainland that awards degrees in numerous fields, then that would be appealing to an student-athlete as well, because they're not just going to college to play a sport, they're going there to further their education, too.

Also, some comments from Coach Shoji in an article from the StarTribune.
"It's just unfortunate that we had to come here. I don't think Hugh was happy to see us here, either. I'm just at a loss for how the committee put us in this sub-regional. I think we deserved better. I'm looking around the country and seeing some of the second round matchups, and I think we could have won a bunch of them."

I will be filing a lawsuit against the NCAA on behalf of the University of Hawaii for unfair treatment and discrimination.

This thread is old hat. Send it off to the convalescent home.
Time to move on to Hawaii 2017.
