It was a pretty good league this season for the most part, but that may have actually hurt its profile nationally due to teams being able to knock each other off in league play. A lot of programs that have had good teams over the years, though, so it should have multiple dangerous teams yet again next season.

I am hoping that all the the WCC teams play some difficult schedules next year. It should help with the conference RPI and I think it could also help prevent some teams from getting screwed come tournament time.

They need to schedule teams that they can get a win, but are good enough to win their conference.

If Tess Reid can fill Tedrow's shoes -- LMU is going to be real good again next year. I haven't seen Reid play, but Tedrow was deceptively good at running the show for 4 years, and will be hard for any freshman to immediately replace. Suaava and Mirabello, who carried quite a few of LMU's matches from the middle, are also gone. It will be interesting to see how they reload at those 3 positions, since their excellent back row and starting pin hitters return, with more good players available on the bench. I saw some of Reid's play on youtube. Looked pretty good. But the highlights always look good. I would have preferred to see an entire set. But regardless, she has nice hands. If I was Tom Black I would have tried to get her at LMU in January.. Like USC did with Baylee Johnson.

I would have probably tried to bring not only Reid but Prichard as well because during the spring they don't have any setters to train to start building chemistry with for next year, unless they decide to train Sponcil as the setter over the spring.

Glad to see some WCC players playing professionally! This is from the recent update from USA volleyball. Caitlin Dewitt (LMU)- She is currently playing for Geneve Volley in Switzerland. I believe her team made the Swiss Cup quarterfinals, but I think they ended up playing Volero Zurich, who I assuming they lost to. Really loved watching her play at LMU and I am glad to see her injury free and doing well professionally. Gillian Howard (Pacific)- She is currently playing for Richa Michelbeke in Belgium. Litara Keil (LMU)- She is currently playing for VT Aurubis Hamburg in Germany. I believe her and Rachelle Suaava have been very good friends for a long time so I wouldn't be surprised to see them both play in the same country soon. Kathleen Luft (LMU)- She is currently playing for Istrence Provence VB in France. If you want to see some video of her playing, look at this website. www.bringitusa.com/blog/player/luft-kathleen/Katie Messing (Pepperdine)- She is playing for the Foton Tornadoes in the Philippines. www.bringitusa.com/blog/player/messing-katie/Taylor Milton (Santa Clara)- She is also playing for VT Aurubis Hamburg in Germany. Stevi Robinson (Pepperdine)- She is currently playing for MTV Stuggart in Germany. Sorry if I left anyone out!

Isn't Kyra Banko from San Gabriel Elite also headed to Gonzaga as a 2016? No mention of her in the release notes posted above. She is heading to Gonzaga and will play her last club season at T-Street instead of SGE.

Also, I heard that Sarah Sponcil will be redshirting this beach volleyball season from the beach volleyball thread? Does anyone know if it is injury related? I am hoping not because LMU definitely needs her to be healthy.

I am hoping not because LMU definitely needs her to be healthy. Someone mentioned they're redshirting her to save a year of eligibility so she can partner with one of the incoming 2016 beach players.

I am hoping not because LMU definitely needs her to be healthy. She is one of the better sand players in the country, but does not have a partner at LMU on her level and the overall squad is not on a par with the elite sand programs. She also took a heck of a lot of swings for LMU last season. Smart move, and allows her to rest her shoulder and keep a year of eligibility for sand if she wants to play for a championship team her final year.

Makes sense that Sarah Sponcil would redshirt then. She is certainly a talented player and does a lot for LMU.
Also, does anyone know much about Kelty Hori? On the USA Women's Open Tryout list, she is listed as a Libero with 4 years of eligibility left for LMU. However, when I looked her up her website says that she is a 2015 grad. Did she play anywhere this past year? I looked up some video of her and she looks really good. LMU looks to have a solid back court for the next couple of years.
