Did anyone happen to see the spring tournament with USD, LBSU, Northern Arizona, Arizona, and SDSU yesterday? I would like to know how each team did.

From the transfer thread it looks like Madison Murtagh has transferred from USF to USC. That is a pretty big blow to the team. Hopefully none of the recruits change schools and no one else transfers out. It is unfortunate that Doron left. I was really looking forward to see USF improve over the next couple of years.
Anyone know the reason why he left?

Looks like Nicole Peterson no longer has USF on her instagram and twitter. Any idea where she is headed?

Looks like Nicole Peterson no longer has USF on her instagram and twitter. Any idea where she is headed? With Doran leaving I saw this one coming for sure. It'll be the third school she has to choose for her freshman year as she chose Abilene Christian before USF. Good luck to wherever she lands, she's a great setter and hitter.

IF Scott's gotten a good enough schedule put together, I could see the Waves being ranked by the the end of preOOC. They've got Senior Aces to back up Senior Aces at MB and OH. That ND setter I think takes over as a more skilled leader than the outgoing UCLA setter..what a waste.
Their liberos are all sand types too, so I do think that their defense will be strong.
Picha will also be a starter, imo, at SD. At the very least she won't give up her starting position so easily.
BYU is not going to be as good in the long run. Alohi should be an OPP imo.

Pacific VB Schedule: pacifictigers.com/sports/w-volley/2016-17/scheduleLMU VB Schedule: www.lmulions.com/sports/w-volley/sched/loyo-w-volley-sched.htmlBoth are pretty solid schedules. It will be interesting to see how LMU does this upcoming season and which players play what position. With Mirabello, Suaava, Tedrow, and Bush graduating, there are plenty of spots to fill. I'm hoping incoming freshman Savannah Slattery can come in and have an immediate impact, because we need another consistent outside besides Sponcil. Lea was just great at the beginning of the year and started playing really up and down after that. I hope Pacific can pull it together for Elman's last season and somehow get into the NCAA tournament. Pacific really struggled at the end of the season.

This is some of the schedules I found for some WCC teams.
Saint Mary’s:
Sept. 9-11: Illinois, Belmont, Oregon Sept 16-17: Cal, Stanford
Without even looking at the entire schedule, this is already much tougher of a schedule for Saint Mary’s than last year. I know that SMC will be a significantly better team than last year, but I am wondering how well they will be able to play against Pac-12 and Big-10 teams. Maybe they can pull off a couple of upsets?
Gonzaga:
Sept 9-10: Southern Utah, UC Davis, Nevada Sept 16-17: Montana State, Creighton, Nebraska
Portland:
Aug 26-27: Texas Tech, other opponents TBA Sept 9-10: Texas State, Cal State Bakersfield, Utah
USD:
Sept. 2-4: Wisconsin, Texas A&M Corpus Christi I think USD is also playing Stanford and Minnesota? I’m not really sure about this but I think I read it somewhere. USD is probably going to have a hard schedule like always.
I also believe that Pepperdine is playing Hawaii twice during the preseason.

I think USD is going to be really good this year. Hoping they will beat Wisconsin and/or Stanford.
St. Mary's had a tough schedule last year as well facing Washington, Long Beach and Duke in addition to Cal and Stanford. So this year looks to be similar.
Gonzaga gets the defending National Champs and a tough Creighton team. It will be interesting to see what they look like without Blinn!

www.lmulions.com/sports/w-volley/spec-rel/050116aaa.htmlLMU adds three more recruits in addition to Savannah Slattery, Jessie Prichard, and Tess Reid for 2016 to bring their total to 6. The three recruits announced were Kameryn Hill (libero for AZ Storm), Alexis Marrow, and Emma Johnson. Anyone have any predictions regarding if any of these freshman can start or not? It would be nice for one of the middles to come in and make a good impact. Also, I think Saint Mary's picked up a middle blocker recruit in Aubrey Pitts (6'1", plays for Northern Nevada Juniors VBC). It is nice to see that they won't be thin on middles anymore. Still no word on who will be Doron's replacement at USF. I wonder if anyone transferred out or if any of their recruits changed commitments. I really hope not because USF looked to have a pretty bright future with the incoming recruiting class.

Alexa Gray is engaged to BYU's starting quarterback. Sad for newlyweds to live in different countries
