I have no clue what kept her off of the court, but when Sun has 5 REs in one set, I think he should've given a player with much better passing a chance and not worry about her offense so much. You're not doing a good job of hiding your bias here. oh I'm sorry, I just love true six rotation outsides.

But Lexi Sun struggles in high school serve recieve, so your argument makes no sense. I've seen Hammons struggle at high school serve receive too though. This argument is dumb, both are great talents and will get better throughout the years and become big time contributors at the collegiate level. Hammons is going to be better though.

Plus people also need to remember that passing at a club/high school is much different from passing at an international level. When I saw Hammons play at a tournament this last spring I wasn't that impressed with her passing (maybe she was just having an off day, I don't know), but even she is supposedly a better passer than Sun, that doesn't always translate internationally. But Lexi Sun struggles in high school serve recieve, so your argument makes no sense. Watched some of the international matches and really wasn't impressed with her game... I thought she was the next Logan Tom??? She got served off the court in the match against Italy...

Sun and Lanier are the two best OHs to not enter a collegiate match yet. Outstanding. . Wasn't impressed with either of these two outsides in the international matches that I've seen...

Well to be fair to them, almost anyone at that age range would look underwhelming next to a phenom like Paola Egonu.

Yep, because the best time to judge a players' skill level is when she is 16 and playing her first international tournament ever

Definitely something she has to improve on.

A couple of players that are outside of the mainstream that have committed to South Carolina are Mikayla Robinson (Sky High) and Brooke Gostomski (Fusion). Mikayla has a 33" vertical, touches somewhere around 10'9" and is the daughter of former Chicago Bears wide receiver Marcus Robinson, Brooke is a hair under 6'0" and is an extremely versatile player who hits, passes and sets equally well. They may not be part of the top 15 but should both be in the top 75 overall of 2017

Is it the Rich Kern website that lists all committed players for a school as soon as it is known? I know PVB does this on its top 50 juniors and senior aces list.

Yes, Richkern has the list of commit; I do not get richkern but do get prepvb. I know that the list on prepvb is far from complete, probably close to 70% and not even all of the "top 50" juniors are listed yet

Mima Mirkovic might have torn her ACL last year, but she has recovered and is a great passing OH.

Agree, she is a much better all around player, but undersized and not near as big of a force swinging as Lexi.

They just report what is submitted to them or what's publicly available (in the case of top-whatever lists). Rich Kern has more up-to-date data.
