Sun and Lanier are the two best OHs to not enter a collegiate match yet. Outstanding. . Paige Hammons is going to be better than both of them by the time she gets to college. A true OH has to be a well rounded 6 rotations player. I think Hammons already has an edge on both of them defensively. Excited to watch her play when she gets to Gainesville!

She's just beginning to play a full season at OH with her club team. No more middle for her. It will be fun to see her progress. She will be something special.

Weren't they all on the same US YNT team this summer (all as OH) and I don't think Hammons played the entire tournament... behind Lanier and Sun who started. unfortunately subs weren't used liberally - but it does mean the coaching staff must have though there was a big drop off because a few games Sun had poor showings and Lanier for that matter.

I have no clue what kept her off of the court, but when Sun has 5 REs in one set, I think he should've given a player with much better passing a chance and not worry about her offense so much.

^Jumping in, I think Rettke is definitely more polished at this point than McClellan but we also have to project forward a few years when talking about prospects. I think it's a little telling that Sheffield did offer McClellan before Rettke. It was only after McClellan committed to Nebraska did Shef double his effort to land Rettke. Of course, we're splitting hairs, they're both fantastic prospects. Rettke is taller and more skilled right now, McClellan probably has the higher ceiling based on athleticism. Both have the potential to be phenomenal in college. I'm pretty sure McClellan committed to NU a couple weeks after Rettke's Wisconsin commitment was announced from the articles I remember. Would be hard to know who offered who when outside of the player & the family's. I'm guessing both Sheffield & Cook had the chance to tell them how they could play as freshmen, be on the Olympic team, dream big , bring it and all the other fun stuff that goes with recruiting;) Both Wisconsin and Nebraska offered Chesney. She committed to Nebraska and about 2 weeks later Sheffield offered Rettke and she committed there. So Wisconsin offered Chesney first. I know this from a reliable source

When I saw Hammons play at a tournament this last spring I wasn't that impressed with her passing (maybe she was just having an off day, I don't know), but even she is supposedly a better passer than Sun, that doesn't always translate internationally.

Who was the left hand hitter from the Ozark club? She is awesome and would be a great recruit but I believe she was a 2018. I heard everyone was recruiting her.

Can anyone who has seen Haley Warner play describe her or say something about her? I've never seen her play but I've heard some hype about her, and just want to know what all the intrigue is about. Her high school stats are decent but I've definitely seen better

She would be a top RS recruit for sure. Thanks for helping me with the name. I hope someone in the B1G gets her.

Hammons does have some off (very off matches), but she's getting some of the best passing training in the country.

This argument is dumb, both are great talents and will get better throughout the years and become big time contributors at the collegiate level.
