Oh good, so her two hires are a kid with almost no experience outside of having an impressive last name courtesy of his dad and a coach who has been out of the game after being fired for being picked up by the police for public intoxication in Alabama at 11 am on a Sunday. To say I am underwhlemed would be an understatement. And to read Stevie's comments about Rose in his press release, you know the one about building a "culture" makes you shake your head a bit. How about the fact that she says he can recruit at a high level? His release for starting at ECU was on 3/2/15, that is one calendar year of recruiting under his belt. Reality is the caliber of athlete to ASU should be a few notches above that of ECU. So I'm confused at how we know for sure he can recruit at a high level.

If someone doesn't look white how would you know they are white? A person of color...............................are we not all a person of color? Not me. I'm practically opaque! But seriously, how would whoever wrote that press release know Linda was black? One look at Marcy would give it away.

She is poised and can talk a good game, but based on these hires, I'm going out on a limb and predict Little Miss Mussie is in over her head. This might be a competent club staff, but it's not going to get anywhere in the PAC 12 at a school that's obviously not throwing money at the program.

The Sports Information department wouldn't know that a woman who was their Associate HC for the past five years was African American?
Ok.

Isn't ASU's J-School supposed to be one of their academic bright spots?

I mean the women served on the Minority Coaches Committee.... and it's in her bio. The SIDs don't have to be geniuses, but maybe at least read the bios of the people you work with who have been there for several years....

Jason was one of the lowest paid coaches in the Pac 12, they took his camps away from him, and he goes to Arkansas where they are dumping money in the program. ASU wanted to make headlines with the hire, they had better Candidates inquire and even spoke to better, in the end it's about grabbing headlines. Good Luck to Whoever takes over that Program in 3 years after Stevie

I have no problem with the criticism and predictions, though I don't share the predictions.

I'm open to hearing your insights as to why this staff is collectively better than some of us think.

I don't share the prediction that this head coach will be fired in 3 years. If the staff doesn't do well I predict the head coach will make staff changes.

I guess if it's in their bio, "I am African American" they would know. But why would that be in their bio? I guess if she checked the "African American" box on her application. So, should we start advertising, "First openly gay, first Native American, first double mastectomy, first Mexican American", etc? Why does it even need to be mentioned that a new hire is African American?
