Not sure where all the hate for Arkansas is coming from. As far as NCAA athletics go, Arkansas has a much richer history than ASU and it's not even close. The only sport that ASU has been a national contender in is baseball, while Arkansas is among the best in NCAA history in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. You tell me which school has a higher commitment to athletics. Onfiya -- you forgot wrestling: ASU has one NCAA team national championship and two runners up. While I agree with you that Arkansas has a better football history than ASU, it's overstating it a bit to say that Arkansas is "among the the best in NCAA history" in football. Arkansas has one national championship, way back in 1964. Per wikipedia, here's Arkansas last 15 bowl appearances:
1991 Independence Bowl 1995 Carquest Bowl 1998 Florida Citrus Bowl 1999 Cotton Bowl 2000 Las Vegas Bowl 2001 Cotton Bowl 2002 Music City Bowl 2003 Indendence Bowl 2006 Capital One Bowl 2007 Cotton Bowl 2009 Liberty Bowl 2010 Sugar Bowl 2011 Cotton Bowl 2014 Texas Bowl 2015 Liberty Bowl
In the 41 total bowl games Arkansas has attended (compared to 29 for ASU), Arkansas has a 15-23-3 record. Arkansas definitely has a richer football history than ASU, but neither team is in the elite of the football discussion

You tell me which school has a higher commitment to athletics. Enh, Arkansas jokes have been around ever since Arkansas has been a state. Arizona State has quite the football tradition as well, particularly the eras under Frank Kush, John Cooper, and Bruce Snyder - one of Snyder's teams was 20 seconds away from the national championship in the mid-90's. And you missed ASU's five national championships in track and field, fifteen national championships in golf, and multiple NC's in softball, swimming, and tennis. Not to mention wrestling and gymnastics NC's. Plus, when is the last time Arkansas has really been relevant in football and basketball? They had a solid hoops squad last season, but they're a long, long way from the 1990's and "Forty Minutes of Hell." And the most noise the football program has made in years was Bobby Petrino's ill-fated motorcycle ride with an ex-volleyball player. One hell of a track and field program, though. At any rate, it's really not like Arkansas is some kind of athletic juggernaut compared to ASU. The main difference seems to be a more vociferous fan base and ugly-but-kind-of-cute razorback hats that are made for TV fan shots. As for volleyball, I think Arkansas is probably a better job for Jason specifically - more money, more athletic department support (ASU has the reputation of being pretty cheap with non-revenue sports), no major in-state rival like UofA, a league that doesn't have the likes of Stanford, USC, Washington etc., and he doesn't have to deal with the added responsibility of beach volleyball - which he wasn't all that keen about anyway. Plus, Watson already knows Texas recruiting (he had about half a dozen Texans at ASU last season) and now he's right next door.

THis entire situation is win...................win. Arkansas gets a seasoned established coach.
ASU gets a coach with potential who will be thrown into a sink or swim vortex that is the cauldron of the Pac-12.

Hogs draw less than 1000 per game, so he's not going to have to deal with many.
They've got plenty of company. In 2015, only 45 DI schools averaged more than 1,000 in attendance per match (and that includes tournament games!). Only 29 teams exceeded 1,500. And only 19 exceeded 2,000 in average attendance. Take out the tournament matches and you can safely knock about 5 or 6 teams off of each of those totals. By the way, Arkansas averaged 980. ASU averaged 1,879. Exactly. VB coaching is not about dealing with fans, boosters, etc. So, it doesn't matter how 'embarrassing' Hog fans vs. ASU fans are. The embarrassment at Arkansas has been the coaches, including Pulizza, who couldn't deal with 15 teenage girls in a respectful manner.

Erica Lott not on the coaching staff anymore? If she's not on the website then she's not on the Coaching Staff. Stevie already has made one hire, as already mentioned on this site. Her 2nd hire is someone who is not currently coaching
