Check out @gophervball's Tweet: Taylor Morgan! Just a short clip, but she looks fantastic here! I guess all that talk about her amazing vertical wasn't exaggerated.

Minnesota should be more then pleased with the upcoming recruiting ... some future stellar players are coming in. Quite impressed with their upcoming classes

She's on scholarship right? Yes. Does she even need a scholarship, with her dad coaching track and field?

Does she even need a scholarship, with her dad coaching track and field? Most schools allow free tuition for all employees kids (or greatly reduced)

Minnesota provides in-state tuition rates to the children of faculty. (Faculty are eligible for the regents scholarship program which will pay 100% if they are seeking their first undergrad degree; but this benefit does not extend to their families.)
I think this is becoming more normal - the 'free tuition for your kids' hasn't been as popular in the last several years I don't think at many public institutions.

Pittman reminds me so much of the upperclassmen Dixon. Very fun to watch; big, quick, and physical!

Pittman reminds me so much of the upperclassmen Dixon. Very fun to watch; big, quick, and physical! On the otherhand, after looking at the video, she seems to be very good at the slide, Which was Gibbemeyer's bread and butter shot. Pittman matches Gibby's intensity as well. Imagine a cross between Dixon and Gibbemeyer... Still, she will have some work to do. The Big Ten is not club volleyball. (I'm trying to keep my expectations in check.)

Here is a link to the podcast with lots of info on the gophers this spring and Paige Tapp. linkI would highly recommend giving this one a listen! It's well done and has lots of good info. In particular, they go down the roster with Hugh commenting on his personal thoughts about each player and the insight is unlike what we've had access to before. What stood out to me especially was how genuine Hugh's excitement about Taylor Morgan seemed. It makes me think that she might've played a little more than we would have guessed last year and maybe still has a shot at getting some playing time in the fall, even with the addition of Pittman (and Hart/McLean). He also talked about Lohman's improvement, but to me he seemed so much more excited about Morgan.

Also, how about Wilhite against K-State: 33 kills, .500, 50 or so attempts?! He seems very pleased with how she is firing up.

The most exciting news for me was about Sarah too. Between the WOW of the week and K-State, my hopes that Sarah may take over as kill leader have grown. It was also good to here them that he feels that Paige can play "Middle Back" and that Hanah has been working towards being a 6-rotation player.
