Mn Select comes back in the first set against Excel NW, Hilley with an overpass kill for set point. They are looking much slower than I have seen them look in the past, they have never run an offense as fast as SPVB but she is throwing a lot of moonballs up to her hitters who seem to have a distinct lack of power today.

Sky High is doing very well in the tournament and currently up on a highly overrated Coast team. They have ZERO big time college commits. That's super impressive to dominate at the 18 Open level with such unheralded kids. Kudos to the players and club leaders of Sky High!

Coast is playing short-handed. Jolie Rasmussen is out. And they still might pull it out.

Yeah, I'm much less impressed by them today than I have been in the past. Mosser looking good, the rest of them are struggling. Hilley chucking a lot of high, slow sets. First contact was sloppy. They took the second set against Excel also, so now they're just down one match. Sting dropped a match as well.

I guess I spoke too soon on Sky High "dominating" as Coast comes back to beat them in 3, but still a very impressive showing by a lot of kids with very little pub and hoopla

She's been hitting front row, it's nothing new for this tournament.

So. Invasion v. Long Beach. Long Beach up 14-9 in the first. It is not pretty. They are winning this with ball control alone.

LB takes the 1st 25-20 against Invasion, caught the second half of the first set, again just not impressed with the star packed invasion team.

Invasion has picked it up in the 2nd, getting better touches on the ball on all 3 contacts.
