well hopefully they have the streams on schedule tomorrow. Planning an early morning brunch with Mimosa in hand to watch the remaining pool play.
I think I'll do
Block 1- Minnesota Select v. Red Rock Block 2- Excel 18 v. Top Select 17 Block 3- Coast v. SkyHigh Block 4- Invasion v. Mizuno LB

Invasion seems to disappoint. I don't understand how a team that has the top MB and 6 rotation to boot Prospect in Fitzmorris, the top setting prospect in Gray, and another top recruit OH in Hart, and another top 100 hitter in Sandbothe, but they tend to go the distance and sometimes lose to teams who have far fewer stars. Coaching?

Coaching? I have to agree, even as a Stanford fan. Invasion has all the puzzle pieces. Hart is one of the most dynamic players of the class and can hammer it. They also have a great setter in Gray.... I don't understand there struggles sometimes but volleyball is a sport of momentum. Any team can beat another team on any given day.

How is defense? I'm a Stanford fan and think a lot of Fitz, but to play at the highest level you have to have amazing defenders. If Fitz is playing defense, probably not the top team in the country.

Coaching? I was able to watch Invasion last weekend in KC for the first time, was super pumped to see Fitz and Gray in action. I left after one set feeling disappointed. It was nothing they did wrong, I may just have built them up in my head too much and they were not as fast or strong or anything else that I was expecting. They find a way to win 90% of the time but it still feels like something is missing. I felt the same today when I watched them, saw a set and moved on

Coaching? Yes, their offense is superb but they struggle with serve receive and defense. Add a top or even middle-tier defender in this class and it would set this team apart

I look forward to their match against Mizuno LB tomorrow.

Ridiculously talented and all she does is win.

Ridiculously talented and all she does is win. I've seen her a number of times before, most notably in the final match at triple crown, she's solid.

Coaching? how is their first contact? I think that is something that can prevent their success. For example, last weekend they lost to Munciana who uses 3 defensive players to make sure first contact is at a premium. I think that aspect can change wins and losses.

Why not use all 6 players to play defense? well obviously they use al 6 on the court to play defense, but my point is that they assuring a great first contact with using by using numerous players who play DS/L
