Remember that quiet kid who sat at the back of the home room? The one who caught bugs in the playground and tortured them before he soaked them in lighter fluid and lit them up? Yeah, there.

To those who are dismayed by this, I'm curious, who do you want them to hire?

Let the incompetence continue, maybe the U.S basketball team will hire Micheal Jordan as the coach of the olympic team just because he was a great player. You realize that Kiraly wasn't hired as head coach "just because he was a great player" don't you? Or maybe you don't. Yep, there's no way that he would be the head coach of the women's national team if people in volleyball didn't throw rose petals at his feet.

They lost all sense of perspective and reality. Just because Hooker ain't on the team, Karch is now deemed a horrible coach not worthy of leading the WNT? To them I say: "Wake up". Karch after all lead the WNT to their first World Championship gold. But no, instead, just because he's not letting Hooker join the team, he is somehow considered the worst coach in the world? That is nuts.

A coach who would be smart enough to have the best player in the UNITED STATES on the team. Such as.... It's not complicated, 99.999999% of GOOD volleyball coaches would be smart enough to have the BEST PLAYER IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA on the team. When you're dealing with high level athletes it's less about actual coaching and more about managing people. That's what made coaches like Joe Torre and Phil Jackson great.

I'm a bit surprised he wants the job for another quad. Another term's the only way to guarantee Hooker won't have an opportunity to dominate for USA again and win a Gold in Tokyo, because if she did that'd make the "lost" or "stolen" quad look even worse for Karch. Blocking/banning all her peak years is the smart play. I'm grateful Tom made it before Karch dynasty, I'd feel even worse if he were 10 years older and she were robbed of the Athens and Beijing quads instead. Gotta look at the positive side.

And Karch "only" won the World Championship in 2014 WITHOUT Hooker. Btw, he was the first coach to led the WNT to a major volleyball championship. But apparently that counts for nothing. Because he does not think Hooker should be on the team, he is now a terrible coach. Right.....(roll eyes). Accept it, Karch has earned his right to pick which player to be or to be on the team by his winning record. You may not agree, but he's got the credible track record to back up his decisions. And if Karch loses the Rio gold because of Hooker's absence (now that is another whole can of worms), then he will face the music. But as of now, he can pretty well choose the players he wants. If you don't like it, you can always try and run for the WNT coaching job.

I'm sorry, but what does winning a world championship have to do with trying to win a gold medal? Volleyball isn't like football where you can run hundreds of different plays. When the ball goes in the air the egomaniac has no control of anything that happens. He can't help a player serve receive or hit the ball over the net. It's all about managing egos and personalities.

Well, actually he won't have to face the music if we don't win Olympic Gold, because he already has a contract extension--which was kinda the point of an outgoing CEO providing a contract extension before the Games took place.
